10/10 Excellent

"For what we paid for the room we were not expecting much, from the outside and communal area it looked like its in need of some TLC but we recieved a lovely welcome from reception all reception staff were very friendly, we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room, nice big room, seats to sit, places to put clothes, clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a wonderful nights sleep some lovely little touches like tea cofee and biscuits plastic cups, we had booked breakfast also not expecting much for what we paid i can not fault the choices and it was very tasty. About a 20 min walk to the town centre but we could have caught a bus at the bottom of the street. We would recommend and would stay again "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Mary Mount Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious enough for us and our dog. The hotel is in a wonderful location. The views of the mountains and Derwentwater are brilliant, and there is a footpath directly behind the hotel, which was perfect for walking our dog every morning. Keswick town centre is also less than a 10-minute drive away. The restaurant and bar were excellent and were one of the highlights of our stay. There were a few areas that could be improved. The room felt a little dated, the shower pressure was quite weak, and our room was not serviced even though we hung the housekeeping tag on the door. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The friendly staff, beautiful scenery, dog-friendly surroundings and great location made it a very enjoyable trip, and we would be happy to stay again."

"Excellent location just a short walk into the centre of town, lots of great bars/restraunts/shops etc. The room was clean and cozy, the rest of the building was full of character, really stunning. The addition of a fan in the room was great in the warmer weather. The staff are very friendly and helpfull, very knowledgeable about local walks and amenities. The breakfast was fabulous, all fresh and cooked to order, excelent range of continental buffet options, locally made sausages and fresh baking everyday. Great parking right next to the building, lovely patio area and gardens to wander round. We've had a lovely stay, will be heading back to the same place!"

"We stayed only 1 overnight on the way down from scotland. We could see lot of people staying for visiting the lakes. The hotel is in a very nice location. They are also pet friendly and they provided us a towel and a bowl for the dog. We highly recommend both breakfast and set menù dinner which was very nice. Room was clean and bathroom looked recently renewed."

"I had the superior family room, which is fantastic. It is spacious, clean and includes a ‘living space’ with dresser, shelving, fridge, coffee facilities, table and sofa. I always feel so comfortable and at home here. Management team are friendly and always have time to say hello and make me feel welcome. Staff go out their way to make sure my stay meets my expectations, plus more. I sometimes need to stay longer than expected, and they are very accommodating to do their best to keep me in the same room, minimising any troubles to myself, even if at last minute. If it is possible, they always try their best. Even when busy. I appreciate this effort so much as it ensures my holiday is as relaxing as possible. Housekeeping are more than happy to provide whatever you may need, and offer to service the room, however, there is very little needed as the room is always equipped with plenty towels, coffee facilities etc. I am happy to maintain room myself, asking for any extras if ever required. They couldn’t be more helpful. Spa and gym are exactly whats required. Spacious, clean, towels and robes are provided. Treatments are available on request at extra cost. Definitely worth a try. Although these can be booked up pretty quickly. I’d advise booking a day in advance for treatments. I tend not to take breakfast, I don’t personally like the set up nor find it good value for money. This will depend on individual preference, ofcourse."

"It was disappointing that the hydrotherapy pool was closed for maintenance/repairs for part of our stay. The staff were friendly but our safe was locked for our entire stay and they were unable to unlock it for us. There were a number of niggles which we wouldn’t have expected from a hotel at this star rating, such as the leaking sink, basic toiletries and lumpy pillows. The cooked breakfast was not available at the beginning of breakfast service despite booking the 7.30 time slot. However, great location, comfortable bed and excellent food."
