"Communication from start to finish was great. Kristi was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Upon arrival, kids were over the moon excited with all the amenities! Photos don't do this home justice. It's far exceeded our expectations. Clean, fun, lots of space - offered everything we could have imagined. Beach was great! Lily pad was also fun for the kids. Caught enough for a small fish fry our last night! Great to have the fish cleaning station as well!! We also didn't realize it's an Amish community so seeing the horse and buggies were a pleasant surprise. Weather wasn't great unfortunately, which makes it hard to entertain teens without much nearby (outside a cute ice cream shop). We rented the boat, however, only for two days due to cost and size. It couldn't accommodate our whole family - it's not an entertainment pontoon, but more of a fishing pontoon which seems expensive for that reason. Overall, it was a wonderful place to retreat to with your fam! "

"We loved our stay, the LOTR decor was great. We really liked the hot tub and the large patio with a fire pit right outside the door. The bed was very comfortable and we would stay here again for sure!"

"We had a great time. It’s conveniently located right on the highway. All the activities we chose to do were easily accessible. The property owner (Mary) lives on the 3rd floor and she was very helpful and attentive. It was nice to have her available, and we’re happy to have met her. It is a large plot of land for children to play. Outdoor games are included with the rental (yard yatze, yard jenga, corn hole, tether ball, etc.). The mown part of the yard was plenty big for us.The inside was nice and clean. Very spacious for a family of 9. Indoor games are included (like monopoly). There is one TV in the living room (I initially thought that would be hard for me because I have a TV in my room at home, but it was a nice break to be able to lay in bed and read). Travel sizes of soap, toothpaste, lotion, shampoo are included in each bathroom - there were even complementary toothbrushes if we forgot ours. Dishes and lots of food staples are available. Suggestions: 1. The property is several acres. Having a mown path around some of it would give guests a path to take walks. 2. Upstairs hall lights are always on for safety reasons. It would be nice to be able to dim them because light leaks in around the edges of the bedroom doors. 3. To drown out noise from the highway, perhaps install some noise muffling curtains in the bedrooms (we used a white noise app, and it worked out perfectly, so not a big deal). We were very happy with the property and would stay again!"

"From checking in to checking out, everything went smoothly! There is plenty of room for gathering and plenty of room if you want privacy. Hosts were very responsive and helpful! We rented the pontoon and that process was easy as well! The only downside is there is no swimming off the dock or on shore-not the fault of the owners or house "

"We came up with my extended family (14 of us) to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. The home was STUNNING and there was plenty of room to sleep, eat (indoor dining table and outdoor patio tables seat 16), and hang out. There are coffee makers everywhere too, which my family loved. We quite enjoyed taking out the paddle boat, kayaks, and paddle boards (plenty of life jackets too). The water is shallow for quite a ways out which made swimming easy … and our hosts also graciously provided us a sand bag to anchor their lily pad down about 100m out so the kids could play on it. Anything we needed showed up at the front door in minutes. We roasted s’mores at the huge fire pit and the kids played a lot of spike ball. Outside of the VRBO, we enjoyed great dinners at Lure and Pike & Pint, played Best Ball golf at the Lake Miltona golf club, and rented a pontoon for a day from Lake Darling (connected to a few other lakes). Lots to do! We will DEFINITELY rent from Mark and his fiancée again! "
