"I love staying at this hotel, for the most part. The staff is great, but their cleaning staff is terrible. We have stayed there twice now, within a couple weeks of each other. We had 12 PM checkout, and BOTH times the cleaning staff knocked on the door at 9 AM, and when we didn’t answer BECAUSE we were SLEEPING, they tried coming in, anyway, causing us to wake up. We go back to sleep, and it happens AGAIN at 10, then AGAIN at 11, and AGAIN at 11:30!!! The first time I thought it was a fluke, but 2 times within a 3 week period?! The second time, my husband asked for a 1 PM checkout, due to us being RUDELY awoken and rushed, to which the front desk had to “call the owner to get permission” and said the latest we could get would be 12:30, and they would have to charge us for an extra day any minute after that. The cleaning staff needs to be retrained!!! I have TWO YOUNG daughters. What if they were changing and naked when the staff decides to just open the door?! "

"The biggest issue was booking a smoking room on Expedia only to be told upon arrival that the smoking rooms had been filled for weeks. There were no smoking rooms and to some, that may not seem like an issue How would you feel to want non-smoking and be told upon arrival that what you searched and paid for does not exist and you have no choice because of cost but to stay in that room? The attendee was marvelous with customer service and the explanation that the rooms had filled over weeks prior and was very accommodating, but the app and the destination should really be on the same page."

"My family and I stayed here for 2 nights to enjoy Jeykll Island, which is about a 30 drive from the hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was ok. I tried the hot food, which was eggs and sausage, and they were not good at all lol. However, They did have waffles, toast, english muffins, fruit, cereal, yogurt, pastries, etc. So, there were plenty of options for everyone. "
