We arrived at the hotel at about 23:40. We had to carry our luggage on the stairs since there is no path for people with disabilities. The guy at the reception was laid on a couch in the lobby the moment we entered. Anyway, we received the key, literally a key, and we went to our room. When we entered the room, the first reaction was to change the hotel, but it was very late. A very dirty bathroom, bathtub had wet rust on it, the walls were dirty and in some places broken, my grandmother had a tv like the one in the room, and the bed sheets were not clean. The second day at breakfast they said we had no breakfast, although our reservation was clearly with breakfast, so they gave us "from the house" the worst croissant ever. When we had to pay, they wanted to extra charge us, on the reason that there was a mistake with our booking price. Did not pay the extra amount, and I told them it is the first and the last time ever when we visit them. Take our advice, never choose this hotel, there are other better ones.
If you are a fiscally responsible person who is staying in Bucuresti for a short period of time and who will be traveling to other areas of Romania by train or bus, Elizeu is an excellent choice. Gara de Nord, with trains and the metro, is a few blocks away. In the other direction, there is a bus station with buses going to many Romanian cities. Moreover, the airport train goes to Gara de Nord; thus, getting to and from the airport is very easy. The hotel is very basic with no luxuries. However, it is clearly worth the 45 to 50 euros. The breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is acceptable. The staff is helpful and friendly. Request a room in the front of the hotel because there is a dog outside an adjacent house in the back who does bark almost constantly. If you are staying in Bucuresti a few days, want a convenient location, and want to be frugal, then this is the hotel for you.
Near the train station, in a quiet area, near banks and other facilities, near the metro, so, if you need a quiet place to visit Bucuresti and or to be in transit before visiting an other part of Romania, it is a confortable hotel.

Disliked: Room comfort
Use this hotel only if you have to take a train very early in the morning as it it is located not so far from "Gara do Nord"
Good location for convenience to train station (5-10 minute walk, and we rolled our suitcases the whole way), but being near the train station automatically puts it in a fairly seedy part of town. We did not feel unsafe. Very bad mattresses, dusty, dated decor/ good breakfast, though. Better to stay in another part of town if possible, but then you must deal with a taxi or public transport--not fun when you are arriving late or are jet-lagged. Enough English spoken to get by. OK for 1 night budget stay if you know you are moving on to better places for the rest of your trip. The hotel website makes the rooms look nicer than they are in real life.
