"An extremely nice hotel, with large comfortable rooms and a decent king bed. Staff were all lovely throughout our stay and incredibly helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable. Only downside is that it is located on the very edge of town, with some steep hills to negotiate. However on the upside there is a plentiful supply of very reasonable local taxis. Overall highly recommended."

"Staff were very kind. An included breakfast would’ve been nice. Convenient for being off the highway but there isn’t that much to do in the town. Pool was very chlorinated but fun, hot tub was perfect temperature, but a little murky."

"I have never had a better/nicer host. They met us at the door and helped with luggage. They led my husband to the parking. And they provided more food than I usually have at home like eggs and bacon, avocados, milk, water, beer, cereal, poutine fixings… I could go on and on. It is the 3rd and 4th floor of a very old townhouse so the stairs are steep and lots of them but that just helps you get ready for the steep hills of Saint John. The unit feels like a home instead of an apartment. Lovely visit."

"We stayed for two nights on a trip from the US up to Cape Breton. We enjoyed our stay. The home was in a quiet neighborhood about a 10 min drive from downtown St. John. Check-in was easy and communication with our host was excellent. Everything was exactly as described. It was a great experience overall."

"Before checking in the host asked us if we would mind switching units to accommodate a family who was to have checked out of “our” unit that day but asked to extend their stay due to a medical emergency. We agreed to swap to the downstairs unit as the downstairs unit was essentially identical plus had access to laundry. Usha the host is very friendly and responsive. Something to note about the apartment is that it doesn’t appear to have air conditioning, and we had some trouble opening the very old windows to get some air through, although we did manage to open three, which provided a breeze. The location of the house is very walkable to uptown St. John. The apartment itself is large, with lovely big rooms, high ceilings, and original details throughout. There is parking onsite. If you are a traveler who prefers a less hands-on (by the host) check-in and stay, this is probably not the location for you. Expect 15-20 mins with the host when checking in for a tour and instructions."

"we had a really great stay at this property. The tenants living upstairs were really nice and friendly. The apartment was clean without any issues. I would suggest that the owners leave soap, shampoo, etc. for the tenants as usually travellers don’t think to bring that stuff. Also, we only had one towel each for the week. We could’ve asked for more. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would recommend this Vrbo client."
