"Lovely stay but the photos made it look more luxurious than it was. However, for the price it was amazing. Our main gripe was the shower was terrible, I didn’t feel clean afterwards because just a light sprinkle. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing!! I really enjoyed the meals I had here. Would highly recommend "

"The hotel is lovely and the staff are very polite and friendly. Situated right on the seafront the front facing room was large with perfect views. We visited at the end of February and it was a shame that the bar was not set up to sell draught beers and the main restaurant was not open in the evenings. My husband is gluten free which the hotel knew in advance but he was not able to have any gluten free cereal for breakfast. I do want to reiterate the hotel and our room was lovely and Sidmouth is a thriving lovely town. We did really enjoy our stay. "

"Room had a few modern touches but was in an old cottage next to the pub. It was clean with a comfortable bed. Check out time of 11am was good."

"The staff were very helpful and welcoming on arrival. I had a comfortable and clean room. I had a good bathroom with good lighting and a good shower door so no water leaking out onto the floor which can often happen in hotels. The breakfast was good. So I enjoyed my stay. Thank you to the staff and I will book again to stay here when in the Taunton area. "

"This is a really fabulous small hotel. The mostly young staff are wonderful and have really good customer service skills. The room we had was large and warm and really nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable with sufficient pillows and some nice cushions.It was apparent that thought had been put in to all aspects of our stay. There were lovely little touches in the room - biscuits, fresh coffee and a cafetière, an extra blanket, and even recycling facilities in the room itself. We had a vegan breakfast in a really comfortable dining room, which was well decorated also. I needed a quiet space for an online meeting and staff did their very best to help to provide this for me. In the end this didn’t work because of my own technology issues and bad planning, which wasn’t the fault of the hotel. The hotel is really close to lots of restaurants and takeaways meaning it was a very handy location."
