Very cool place to stay! It is across river from the parliament and right beside beautiful bridge- stunning views at night. We had a room with 2 twins and riverview. The only place to plug in items is up high behind the TV so not very easy to use. Ship is old and top deck would be amazing to hang out on but is in disrepair. Otherwise ship is good. Beds ok but pillows were horrible. Included breakfast is nice and the breakfast staff is very sweet. AND ramp to get to boat IS VERY STEEP because river is so low so I could see this being an issue. Also we were able to park for free right in front of the ship! Definitely worth it to stay- when else do you get to sleep on a boat! Some great restaurants in the area, Tran stop close and very walkable to Marget Island and both sides of city to wander

The decor is old fashioned but in good maintenance and kind of cute. It’s not a luxury stay - you’re in a cabin on a boat. Staff were friendly though. Breakfast fills a corner but is basic. The main attraction was being on the Danube. I had a river side cabin with amazing views of the river and the Parliament building. It was stunning.

Small cabin, it's a boat hotel not a hotel. Expect ramp down to boat itself. Steep steps to upper rooms. Boat itself was clean, tidy and warm. Great river views over to parliament building at breakfast and room. Staff friendly and breakfast is great with great service.

It stank everywhere. As soon as you entered the vessel, there was a stench of “old” and mold. Everything from the floors, to the walls, to the ceilings, needs a total renovation. There are stains everywhere. The beds were ok, but hard. It needed a top-mattress. The breakfast was very boring. Personel was friendly. But that’s litterally the only positive thing I can say. There’s good potential to make this place good and comfy. It has a great view of the parliament building and the bridge. It just desperately needs a renovation.

Location, floating on the Danube River, was fantastic. Wonderful views from our room facing the river. Fantastic views from top deck. Hungarian Parliament lit up at night was my favourite. Loved the breakfast with lots of variety. All staff very helpful. Only downside was the rooms are in need of a bit of tlc but was an awesome experience and would definitely stay again.

Best AC in Budapest

This boat hotel is located perfectly on the Danube river square in the middle of the city. You can easily and with a 2 minute walk access trams, busses and metros. The rooms are cozy with nice interior and has the best AC I have ever seen. Our stay was during a heat wave of 35 degrees C. Our room stayed well under 20. Nice personel and great late checkout service. Will never stay at a different hotel while in budapest.

I recently stayed at a boat hotel in Budapest, and while the experience had its positives, some aspects need attention. The service was commendable; the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was a highlight—complete and freshly prepared, making for a delightful start to the day. The area surrounding the hotel felt safe, and the views of the Hungarian Parliament from the hotel were simply gorgeous. However, the hotel itself requires significant updates. The carpets throughout the property appear worn and would benefit from replacement. Regarding my room, I found the decor to be outdated, particularly the headboard and wallpaper, which show signs of wear. The bathroom was functional but lacked modern amenities, especially concerning the shower system. After showering, the bathroom floor remained wet, and there was no squeegee available to help dry it. This made it inconvenient to use the bathroom at night, prompting the need to shower in the morning instead. Overall, while I appreciated the hospitality and enjoyed the breakfast, the hotel would greatly improve with some renovations and upgrades to enhance guest comfort.
