Walking distance to many touristic destinations

The place has considerable maintenance issues, such as leakage in the toilet, swimming pool was empty and took me 2 days and much insistence to get a bath drain cover. But overall is a great deal, large room, modern and walking distance to Puerto Madero, San Telmo fair and Casa Rosada. Avoid if you need amenities of hotel, it is just an apartment.

perfect apartment!

It is located 10min drive from retiro, centro area. 30~35 peso for taxi. I even walked from centro to the apartment, it is not that far as it seemed in map. Next to the apartment, there is supermarket. Room is spacious and very clean. 10min walk to trendy puerto madero street. I don't recommend walking around here at night.

Lo feo fue es que la secadora de cabello nunca funcionó, la cocina igual , estas novedades fueron indicadas al hotel, pero no pusieron atención .

Incredible Room For The Price

Though some might tell you that BA's San Telmo neighborhood is dodgy or the least friendly to stay in, let me reassure you. The Defensa Suites came as an incredible surprise for the money, and allowed me to really see the charm and character that San Telmo has to offer. Located right on Defensa, the Sunday flea market is just out the door. The apart/hotel itself is nicely appointed, beautifully decorated and a STEAL for the price. The room was the size of a 1-bedroom apartment and even had a balcony. The heater worked well, the bed was super comfortable and the couch was huge. There are great restaurants with a block in any direction from the hotel, and Defensa is lined with things to do. Needless to say, I will not stay anywhere else when I return to Buenos Aires. This is the only destination I need!

não se pode pensar que é um hotel, e sim um apart com quartos, porém excelentes quanto ao conforto, espaço, tudo novo e funcionando. Excelente custo beneficio. Na esquina tem um carrefour express, freddo sorveteria, starbucks para tomar café, havana para comprar alfajor, taxi,onibus, perto do centro, são 07 quadras para chegar na Casa Rosada, etc. Restaurantes excelentes , de aparencia muito simples, porém de uma comida super gostosa e barata! Porém o lugar é perigoso e não se deve sair a pé ou sózinha a noite! Mas vale muito a penaaaaaa!

Trip have Brazilian Carnival

The hotel is more of an apartment style hotel. I will say, no one spoke english while I was there so I had to use my very rusty spanish to try and get by. The neighorhood was walking distance to several restaurants, museums, and the merchant festival they have every Sunday(much recommended). As a single female traveling alone, I felt very safe. The only issue I had was the electricity went out one morning, and when I returned to my room later that evening, it still wasn't working. The security guard on duty was very friendly, gave me a new room that was much bigger and helped me move my belongings. When the electricity went out in the evening, I did notice the whole neighborhood was out as well. Yes it went out 2x's. I was ok with this as I've visited other countries and this has happened. Some expectations of traveling abroad!!! The customer was great and the hotel was very clean, comforatable, and close to everything. I'd recommend!!!

Not up to expected standards

Hotel was under construction and not completely ready for guests. The only person in the lobby was the guard at the front desk and he did not speak or understand English. There was no hot water. Staff did not respond to requests. WiFi did not work in the room. Construction noise kept us awake. Room was not set up with basic cooking utensils or linens.
