Our walls are warped and our floors are slanted. We restored her history and bought in most of todays comforts like running water, electric, heat and air conditioning. Walk the floors the cowboys did over 100 years ago and check out the secret back staircase that allowed the "ladies of the night" access to the second floor brothel. Our location can't be beat! We are located among the downtown dining and shopping district. Crazy women square for city events is located across the street and George Washington Park is located one block behind us. The George Washington Park is home to Wyoming's largest swimming pool, tennis courts, playground and walking paths. We are honored to be part of your vacation and are 100% committed and honest to our guest about our properties. What we advertise here is exactly what you will find upon arrival. ..
Get the real old west feel while staying in cowboy country. Check out the back staircase that was built for the “ Ladies of the night” to use over 100 years ago while hiding from the “ decent folk” on Main Street. Walk the same floors many cowboys did, we even renovated around the original 100 year old toilet “ water Closet ” . Even today, it sits at the rear of the hallway!
With our wonderful location you can park the car and walk about our beautiful town to swimming pools, restaurants, pubs and museums.
Take a step back in time in one of Buffalo’s oldest downtown buildings. With a few buildings separating us from restaurants and pubs a quiet evening awaits in The Historic Capitol Hotel building

We stayed for a hunting trip, and this was great since it was close to the downtown restaurant/bar we went to. We had a trailer and UTV which we couldn't park right at the apartment, but there was parking very close which was good. Communication with the owners was phenomenal. We'll stay again on our next hunt!
This was a beautiful place to stay. Loved the history and atmosphere of this building. Cynthia was awesome. Great communication. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Buffalo. Thank you so much.
We stayed one night in Buffalo before moving on to our next stop and this was the perfect place to land. It has be best location right in the heart of downtown and it truly feels like you are taking a step back in time while still having modern amenities. We stayed here with our two year old and she loved exploring our suite and it had enough room for all of us. Everything was clean and welcoming with everything we needed. Parking was easy both in front and in the alley. We never had trouble finding somewhere to park. The homemade rhubarb bread was also a nice touch and a great start to our morning. Thank you for having us!
We couldn’t have picked a better place to enjoy our stay in Buffalo, Wy. I loved the apartment over downtown shops environment. The antelope suite was perfect with the 3 massive windows overlooking the Main St. The apartment itself was large and had all the amenities you need for several nights stay to be comfy. Cynthia keeps it very clean and well stocked. We lacked nothing. Her communication was perfect to see if there was anything else we needed. Definitely stay here again in the future
Nice comfortable historic place.
Cindy is an awesome host. She even made us cannoli (which we regrettably left behind)!
Comfy quarters and great location.
Cynthia's place was clean and comfortable with old school charm. In the heart of Buffalo with easy walking access to restaurants and the ice cream shop :-). Cynthia was very helpful.
Very spacious suite and really neat building if you are a history buff and nice to be able to do laundry. Largest pool in Wyoming was impressive - too cold to go in when we were there. Music in the park across street when we arrived and the Historic Main Street had a lot of neat shops. Sunday most shops not open so plan accordingly.
Nice location but the building is very old and the walls are paper thin. We were woken up at 6:30 by screaming kids who live next door. The property manager was responsive but just be aware if you want a good nights sleep.
Cute what has been done with this old building. Really neat to see the history of it and the town. Unfortunately, the queen bed was very uncomfortable. Neither my husband or I could sleep on it. He ended up on the couch and I ended up on a bunk bed. Not a good nights sleep after a very busy and tiring day.
Don't stay here. If you don't enjoy funky charming properties in fun walkable areas. Or if you don't appreciate in touch and tuned in property owners.Place was clean and the kitchen really well equipped. Cindy even had everything included to make and drink coffee, also Expresso. Ideal for a family of four with the extra twin beds in the main living space. Yes, the floors creak and the electric is in conduit but the building dates from 1894 and many of the original bones are still there. That's part of the charm. Lots of area rugs and runners. Take time to enjoy all the art in the unit and hall.Lots of eating and shopping in just a couple blocks including a great little ice cream place. Awesome museum two blocks away, and take a quick run to Sheridan to visit the Trails End Mansion. We also ran back to Gillette for the coal mine tour. Couldn't do that on the weekend when we were there originally. While there also check out the Rockpile Museum, you won't be sorry. If you like to walk it's right next to the Clear Creek trail system that offers miles of gravel trail along the creek. If you like all those things the definitely DO stay here! We will come back when in Buffalo.
This was a really fun place to stay. It's definitely different than your normal hotel! Our rooms were a great combination of modern amenities (kitchen with all the supplies you need and a modern bathroom), with a very old-west feel (large windows with drapes, wooden floors and staircases....) The owners were friendly, communicative and responsive. I don't travel to Buffalo, WY much, but I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for sharing your renovated Historic Hotel with us. We loved our time in Buffalo and the history of the hotel. We had a very enjoyable stay. Thank you for the tastie homemade rhubarb bread.
Loved the location - right downtown and very close to cute little places to eat and drink. The owner was very accommodating when we requested to stay another night. Easy to find, easy to access.
The Antelope Suite was very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. Buffalo has a very nice downtown area that we look forward to visiting again when covid is over so we can see more.
Everything was wonderful! Exactly as listed. We had a nice time in Buffalo. Many shops were closed Sunday afternoon but open Monday morning. Pie Zanos was great for dinner.
Beautiful and very spacious property nestled in the middle of historic Buffalo, WY very close to museums, restaurants and shopping. Cynthia and her husband are both gracious and helpful hosts who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I'd go back to Buffalo just to stay at their property again.

Perfect for us, will be back every year
My sons, Grandsons an I have been hunting the Buffalo area for a number of years and have stayed in a variety of places. We finally found our home away from home. Worked out perfect for us and the accommodations were outstanding. Cindy was great, we will be back for every WY hunt we do.
