"Oberdeck is in a great location to explore Hamburg. It’s very close to transport, restaurants, and some great coffee. The apartment was compact but very clean and well equipped. The balcony is a great space. Our only issue was how hot it was upstairs in the bedroom even when it was cool downstairs and outside. A fan is supplied but it was still uncomfortable. The roof top deck is lovely. We would definitely stay again. "

"The apartment was not properly cleaned at the arrival and therefore i was offered an one day cleaning package, but the cleaning never found place. Furthermore is not specified that the building has no elevator, and carrying heavy luggage to the 2nd floor was uncomfortable. "If you are attending anything at the Barclay Arena this hotel is essentially a five minute walk through a beautiful park to get to the venue. The hotel was newly built in October 2025 and is of concrete block construction; very minimalist look on the interior. I found the automated check-in system frustrating after a long 35 hour flight. Especially in that my booking number did not correspond with the one I had been given by a third-party company and it also did not recognize my name. Luckily a staff member was still working in the bar and was able to give me a code to print my own key card and get my room number. But be advised that you do have to do all of that yourself through a computer stand. The room I had was perfectly sufficient aside from lacking any coffee maker or tea kettle station. It also did not include a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and clean. Storage for clothing was an open concept closet with one deep drawer. Nicest addition to the room was heated flooring in the bathroom. All in all a reasonably priced, convenient safe and clean place to stay if attending any event at Barclay Arena."
