"For anyone looking for a small beautiful hidden gem resort close to San Ignacio, I'd highly recommend Villa Massis in Bullet Tree Falls! It's only a quick 10 min drive into San Ignacio. We had a 2-bedroom suite for the 4 of us and it was perfect. We booked airport transportation, transfer to Placencia, several rides into San Ignacio and all of our tours with them. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us."

"The staff here was very friendly at this low key hotel and they offered a reasonably priced shuttle service to and from the airport. Sylvia in particular was so nice and attentive in her waitressing and her efforts to find me some Belizian coins. :-) Rooms are small but were clean and have everything you need. It was historically cool when we were there so did not use the pool but the ambiance around it and the pool bar was relaxing. Breakfast is good and they can make it to go if you are off to...

"Calico Jack's in a hidden gem in Belize! You really feel like you are in the jungle on their lush grounds. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they clearly care about their guests. We loved the activities they offer, such as the zip lining only a 10 min walk from our room. Be sure to stay for breakfast and order the Stuffed Fry Jacks, they were the best we had in Belize!
