Great property, located in the perfect spot to bring back the childhood memories. Visiting with family and friends in the area made the stay a perfect 10.
Our favorite stay during a month long Irish vacation. The walks around the area were beautiful. Woke up to sheep and rabbits outside our window every morning. The house gave us so much room to spread out and was in the perfect place for visiting Killarney, Kenmare, and Glengarriff. Despite lots of rain, we had a wonderful time.
We had a fantastic week at the holiday home Bun na Sleibhte! The communication with our hostess Mary was great and easy. The house is big and tidy and we especially enjoyed the sunroom! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet in and around the house. There were so many rabbits and birds to see around the house. We loved it! We surely be back in the future!
Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Even though we were only 2 persons in a property that could sleep 9 it was lovely to have the space. The property setting encompasses mountains and animals with stunning views as the sun rises and sets. The rooms we used (as we kept our footprint small) were comfortable. The best by far was the superb conservatory which was the perfect spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. Would highly recommend this property. Perfectly positioned for shopping, pubs and all that this part of the Island offers.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful Irish cottage! As a family, we found the space to be incredibly spacious—plenty of room for everyone to relax and feel at home. The setting is simply breathtaking, nestled right in the heart of nature, with scenic views all around.
It’s also perfectly located, giving us easy access to explore the stunning peninsulas of South Ireland. Whether you’re interested in hiking, beaches, or charming villages, everything is within reach.
A special mention goes to our host, who was extremely friendly and attentive, making sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, authentic Irish getaway!
Very quiet cottage in wonderfully quiet, natural surroundings. Conservatory with a panoramic view of the mountains. Ideal for relaxing and breathing deeply. The house is well equipped, spacious rooms, very high quality beds. Mary and her on-site support team were available at all times and everything is taken care of quickly and well when needed. For a relaxing vacation at any time a recommendation
As a group of 4 adults, 3 teenagers and 1 child, the house was large enough to fully cater for us confortably. The new sunroom is a perfect add-on to enjoy the wildlife and the view over the surrounding mounts. It's peaceful and quiet. We had a really lovely stay with easy access to lots of differents places: perfect for touring Co. Kerry, Cork area and Killarney. Highly recommended, it feels like home.!
Fabulous location secured with gates which was excellent ment our autistic son could safely play outside without worrying about him getting into danger, hosts were brilliant kept in touch during stay and gave tips of places to visit. They also got a ramp put up at front door for easy wheelchair access. Will def be going bk and have recommended to family and friends too. The sleep and bunny rabbit in the back field just made it more fun for the kids too.
This house is a real gem set in the quietest and most beautiful countryside, yet only a few minutes from the village of Kilgarvan. Kenmare is a short drive and you can easily spend a day there shopping or eating in the many restaurants. The house had everything we needed and Mary was an excellent host, getting in touch to make sure that our stay went smoothly. Her sister-in-law lives across the road, which is reassuring in case anything is needed. Other than the occasional tractor, the lanes were ours to wander. We were in Kerry to climb the hils and the house was the perfect base for the Reeks and the Shehy Mountains, and the perfect space for relaxing in between climbs. The big sun room with windows which open right up were great in the warm spell we enjoyed.
Thanks again Mary - we had a memorable stay.

House was really spacious. Great for families, with fabulous views. The host Mary is contactable at all times and is very helpful. We loved the house, our second year there. Great price for the area. Hope to go back again soon.
What a fantastic location and a great house to enjoy it in. Located 15 minutes drive from Kenmare and approx 30 minutes from Killarney. If you enjoy walking and exploring the countryside this is the place to stay. Mary was a fantastic host and made sure the house was ready on time and quickly resolved any issues reported. We were given lots of information on how to get the most out of exploring the local area and this was much welcome. I would highly recommend staying in this property.
