We had a very relaxed stay at the ranch. Great place to unplug and enjoy some peace and quiet. We enjoy sitting out on the dock, watching the creek and waterfowl. Thanks for a wonderful time away.
Stayed March 2-8 2025. Secluded property that is only 15-20 minutes from groceries and restaurants. Beautiful surroundings, great dock for reading and watching the wildlife. The lodge has plenty of room and is clean. If you're looking to get away from the hussle and unplug a little, this is the place. We'll be back again.
We were wanting a place to rest and relax and we definitely found those qualities here. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock and relaxing on the swing. Brittany was very accommodating and helpful with anything that we needed. Thank you for sharing this special place with us. We would love to return again soon.
This was our second year in a row staying at the property and this year was better than the last. A few small improvements (lights at the dock, remodeled shower, and improved road) were made since we were last there that really added to the property. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit each night and swapping stories. The peace and serenity out there is amazing - no other sounds except nature. The house comes stocked with everything you need to enjoy a weekend getaway. We have already booked agian for next year!
Exactly what we needed. Our hosts were responsive to our needs and even brought us fishing tackle when our boxes got left back home accidentally. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking for big groups. We caught bass and catfish we can brag about. It was an adventure and my adult kids are already begging me to book for the next reunion. Our cell phone service wasn’t the best since it is so rural… but maybe that’s also a good thing!
We booked this property as a place to stay for a 3 day fishing trip to Crescent Lake. There were 8 guys and this place was exactly what we were looking for. Very secluded with no neighbors and just the sounds of wildlife at night. We loved the fishing dock on the creek and utilized it on several days. We actually left the lake early on our last day just to come back and relax at the lodge. It's definitely not a Ritz Carlton, but we gladly traded those amenities for a secluded, rustic, and peaceful experience. If you are looking for the perfect wilderness getaway - look no further. This place has it all and was amazing.
We had a wonderful time, house was perfect for us and comfortable! Brittany was great to work with as well. Beautiful quiet surroundings to add to the experience.

Amazing property
Had an amazing time at this beautiful property! Super clean house loaded with everything you will need. This place is great!
The property was excellent for their yearly trip
The host was very helpfully and nice. Just a wonderful place to relax off the beaten path and enjoy their friendship.
Definitely will go here again
My wife and I had an absolute blast at the property. It was a great place to get away from it all in the woods. We saw lots of wildlife including deer, turkeys, owls and an otter. Haw creek was really flowing due to all the rain but was beautiful and a pleasure to paddle down. We also caught several hefty catfish off the dock. The hosts were great and really made us feel at home.
We absolutely loved the property. It was too chilly to get in the canoes but we plan on returning soon. Brittany was great! This is very secluded and private. Next trip we plan on hog hunting- which will be my first time. My fiancé and his family hunt annually on a boys trip! Highly recommend this place.
Great place for a rustic ( appears to be a working hunt camp) getaway. If using as homebase, be aware road in is not bad, but dusty. I was puling a boat and found out quick to put on cover. Other than that, outside is roomy, pics do not do creek (with small ramp) justice and no support issues. Great Stay.

I just spent a week at CC lodge in Bunnell. The property was just as described, remote and beautiful! My dog Jake and I relaxed by the rivers edge, went for long walks, and enjoyed the plethora of wildlife that inhabits the area. In the evening we gazed up at a sky full of stars. All in all a fabulous week!

Absolutely loved this place. If we travel this area again we will definitely try to rent this place. PEACEFUL! Thank you so much for the warm hospitality & tour of the ranch. Loved the space and serenity of the ranch. Just perfect for a family gathering. Say 'Hi' to Dougy for us, lol. Till we meet again, thanks again so much for a wonderful stay. Ann
This was the second time I stayed at the lodge. While I had a good stay there was some deterioration in the facilities and cleanliness. Particularly the silverware is dirty and needs replacement and the water is not potable requiring bottled water for cooking and drinking.
Picked this location for a family vacation. It was perfect. We had a great host that gave us her cell number and said to call her if we needed anything. The Double C Ranch is a unique, quite, remote setting. Nice dock by Haw Creek, we saw an air boat one morning and kayakers another morning. We also made a drive to two different beaches. Navigating the long (almost 2 miles) private drive around the cows was a fun added attraction for the grand kids!!
Being greeted by the cows and calves upon arrival was just the beginning of a magical mini vacation. Highly recommend is putting it lightly.. The place was pristine with everything you need and more. Being outside and enjoying our walks, fishing, kayaking, fire pit, PEACE and watching the boys enjoy nature and not once ask about their phones was no surprise when you have the beauty that CC ranch has to offer. Brittney and her husband were so accommodating and helpful. We cant wait to go back. The boys are ready to plan their next trip. Thank you Britney and Dalton...
This property was perfect for our yearly youth trip. Myself and another leader brought 10 teens from ages 12-17 and it was perfect for us 12. We enjoyed the dock, spent the day fishing, lounging and exploring the property. We also did outing to Marineland, Daytona Lagoon/Beach, and De Leon Springs. All within 50 minutes of the house. There is a per person fee after a certain number of guests so be sure to account for all guest when comparing prices. We had plenty of space and all 12 of us had a bed no need to sleep on the couch. ;) Brittany and Dalton were quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely consider bringing our group back or a different group.
I hardly ever review anything but have been thinking about writing this review since the day we arrived! it’s very rare that you read all these positive reviews and then the place or product lives up to the hype. In this case, the reviews were dead on! I took a five night vacation with my son to get away and reconnect, I could not think of one thing that I would change.
I will say the pictures on the site do not do the place justice. It is possibly one of the most quiet and relaxing vacations I’ve ever had. The house is fantastic, kitchen has all you need. There are TV’s in all but one of the five bedrooms, and they get plenty of channels. There is a nice size TV in the living room and a washer dryer, internet, everything! The beds are comfortable, plenty of towels…just a great place!
But the star of the show is the property. It is set back on the dirt road (that’s in great shape) and yes…we were greeted by a few cows on the way! When you get to the house it’s serenity. The deck over the river is an amazing place to start your day and end it. You can hear nature around you, it’s so peaceful that on the 3rd day when a plane flew over we were both asking, what was that!
I am really amazed at how peaceful it was, it really is a rare find! The final touch is the owners themselves. We got to meet my them quickly and the one or two times we had a question they got right back to us. Brittany is amazing! They really just want you to enjoy your stay and leave you to yourselves. Did I mention that it’s so peaceful?!
Brittney is a fantastic host who is quick to respond to my multitude of questions from the very beginning when the family was planning our vacation to our checkout day. If you are looking for seclusion but also want beach and theme park time, then this is the place for you. 30 minutes to Flagler Beach and 2 hours to Disney World. Fishing off the private dock was an every day occurrence, as was quality family time. Thanks Brittney for opening your lodge to the public to allow us the opportunity to rent from you. Certainly hoping to do it again!!
When my son and I entered the gate, we were pleasantly greeted by several cows on the road. It was really cool and exciting! Then as we approached the house, I was amazed at how much bigger the property looked in person. My first impression when I walked in the door was how clean everything smelled. Not only did the home smell clean, it was truly clean. Even the cutting boards, stored in a low, open cabinet, were free of all dust! We were unable to load our kayaks for the trip and really bummed about it, but Brittany saved us from boredom and allowed us to use the kayaks that were there. Haw Creek provided an easy paddle. The current was just enough for a gentle push in one way, but not enough to make a struggle back. We loved everything about the property and will most definitely return. Thank you, Brittany, for everything!
