The ghost town of Buriano was abandoned twice: once during the Italian economic miracle –when its population, made of farmers, moved to towns to find a job within the uprising industrial sector- and then again during the 1990s, after a failed attempt to revitalize Buriano through the development of tourism offer.

"We stayed 2 weeks and it was wonderful! The house is very nice and spacious as is the garden. And the swmingpool is great of course, especially during the warm days. Location is great as well: close to beaches, lovely towns and restaurants."

"We - a family with 2 grown up sons - stayed in the house for almost a week. We mainly did sightseeing in Tuscany, a boat trip to Elba and spent a day at the nearby beach. The house is well equipped with 4 comfortable bedrooms, all air-conditioned (cave: they charge extra for additional electricity costs), a good sized kitchen and 3 bathrooms. The outdoor pool is spacious but is not heated. In early September it already was a little on the cooler side. The location is close to a private beach...

"The villa and the views are stunning. Every room was beautifully decorated and had a full bathroom and temperature controls and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is great for cooking large family meals and we loved eating on the terraces with gorgeous views of the sea - on both sides! "It was a very nice vacation at Casa Conti Di Sotto. The VIP area is really private, you only have one neighbour in the other part of the house. The house and garden are well equipped. The main house is located a few meters away from the VIP area. There are all the other things like swimming pool and sauna. The upper part at the sauna has a nice view of the landscape. Vasile was also very nice and helpful."

"What can I say!!!! Best hotel, Amazing service from check in staff who are amazing and welcoming. They are super helpful and friendly. The manager was amazing, so helpful and accommodating . She helps , and pay attention to little details to make your time great and always with a smile . Restaurant staff were amazing and attentive. Management is superb , and waiters are very highly trained to make guests feel special. Egor was great in particular as he is fast , attentive, and super friendly. We have been coming here for the 4 th time now as it is great and upscaled. It is part of the i prefer hotels . Only my gps keeps taking me to a different location thinking we arrived, but the street is closed. Restaurants, breakfast, dinner, lunch all had great selections. They even arranged couple massages for us on the panoramic terrace. Over all it is 10 out of 10."
