"We stayed in an en-suite twin room at Haka House Lake Tekapo and found it spacious, clean, and well-located. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the en-suite bathroom was a great plus. Only downside was the heater—it seemed to turn off automatically after an hour, which made the room a bit cold during the night, especially in the autumn chill. Still, a solid and peaceful stay in a stunning location. Would recommend, especially if you’re prepared for cooler nights!"

"The location and view were amazing. We had a free breakfast delivered to our room every day and the food was fantastic. The star viewing skylight was good, but just keep in mind that you can’t see the stars as well if the moon is full, which it was when we were there. Also, this skylight tended to ice up a bit which affected the view of the stars. "

"The Godley Hotel is perfectly located in Tekapo!! NOTE: There is no elevator, so be prepared to lug suitcases upstairs!! The Jack Rabbit restaurant that is attached is perfect for breakfast. We went to T.L.V. for dinner, which was a nice upscale restaurant in the area and the dishes were excellent. Definitely plan on taking the time to walk around the lake to see the church and the cute shops. "
