"We arrived early, without notice, and with a load of request, as my elderly mother was with us. We were greeted warmly at the door, and the hotel staff, Christine went over and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. Professional, friendly, approachable and excellent service. The hotel is conveniently located with various stores, restaurants & pubs along the street. Not noisy though, and we enjoyed a good rest and sleep at the hotel. Thank you for the lovely stay. Will definitely come back...

"Stayed 4 nights while catching up with family members staying nearby. Comfortable and friendly, good breakfast choices and flexible times. Glad there wasn't a heatwave as it would probably get quite hot - it's old so not air-conditioned and the room was under the eaves. Convenient for Henley, Wallingford and walks in Cotswold AONB, Ridgeway etc. Pretty area. Brakspears beer very tasty."

"Was greeted warmly by an old gentleman who k8ndly checked us in 25 minutes early. He wanted us to have a big room upstairs but was concerned about our heavy luggage. Problem solved when he got his daughters to take our cases up for us. So kind. The room was big and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and the shower worked quite well, but bot a power shower. Breakfast had both cold and hot options and we were able to make hot drinks downstairs whenever we wanted to. Pleasant outside...

"The room was comfortable and clean. The reason I give four stars is the noise I experienced from the pub downstairs . I could not see where to regulate the heating too. Overall a good place and will be booking regularly."

"This house is very convenient to the airport. The check in by code and room lock by code works well. But you get what you pay for, my room had a bed and old deck nothing more. But having access to a kitchen is nice and there is a store on the same block. When I was there washer/dryer and dishwasher were both out of order. Easy to get to by cab or Uber. If you just need a place to sleep for the night it’s fine. I would not recommend for long term stay. "

"For what I paid the room was as expected, it was clean had a good TV that had plenty of channel choice. There were hot drink facilities in the room and the bed was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was brilliant! The chef did a cracking job with my order and the mushroom sauce as a side was amazing. Breakfast was lovely and fresh with local produce and it was the best hotel breakfast I’ve had for sometime. "

"Pay attention to the check in/deposit process. After check in an email should be sent and a request for a deposit. After the deposit, instructions on your room and how to get in will be sent. Other than that the come and leave as you go is nice and convenient."

Before I booked, I knew it was a small room and to be fair, I was offered to pay a little bit more to upgrade, but the room had everything I needed and I didn’t care it was small. I’m 6’5 and only had a couple of places where it was difficult for me to stand, but this did not cause a problem for me, as it wasn’t a surprise it was small. For £45 - £20 deposit I got a reasonable room with coffee making facilities and very good service. I would stay again as it was so cheap and really friendly staff. Many thanks"

"The initial check-in was frustrating as there wasn’t sufficient parking which having to mount the pavement and squeeze in between a car and the entrance to the hotel. My car was an obstruction The site photos are very outdated. The decor is very run down The surface is clean "
