The condo was clean. Sheets and linens were clean and updated. We cooked most of our meals at the condo and were able to with the stocked kitchen. The owner, Matt, communicates with you if you have any questions which is super helpful. I almost gave a 4 star review because the photos for the listing do not depict the current state of the beach due to the storms that have hit the area. If booking in the future, the condo is great and Matthew is very helpful, however the beach are is completely different than the pictures in the listing.

OBX Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this condo. There were 5 of us so a 2 bedroom plus pullout couch was very comfortable. We appreciated the initial supplies of liquid hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, auto dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent and trash bag. Beds were already made with cute sea themed sheets. The provided towels came prepackaged in clear plastic for each of us. The kitchen had everything we needed for 5 people, T-fal pots and pans. You will need to bring your own spices for cooking, there was only salt and pepper. The TV had cable and the owner provided HULU for free. The laundry is shared by all 4 condos in the building but we had no problems having access to it. Owner was very responsive to any texts. Beach chairs etc are not provided so bring your own, which we did. Most importantly it was ocean front for an affordable price. I would definitely recommend this condo and would absolutely stay here again. The 3 other condos in this building are also available if you have a larger family. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation.

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER - RUN AWAY

My first time using VRBO and I will never do it again.I’ve been vacationing in OBX for twenty years and nothing has ever compared to the absolutely horrible experience the host created.I suggest using Midget Realty or one of the other realtors on the island for your stay.The only nice thing about this slum house is the location.The place is completely trashed.The carpet looks about 20 years old, the refrigerator makes a loud buzzing noise, the living room furniture is horrible, the beds are super worn and stained and the host is constantly breathing down your neck and texting every five minutes.If you want to be spied on by the host that lives there and watches your every move - this is your place.Host, Matt, decided to evict me because I had a service dog(4 lb silkie yorkie).Service dogs are allowed.He gathered my husbands 10 inch long hair (see pic) from the tub and said my yorkie shedded everywhere (she doesn’t shed).He then sent a pic of some weird bug and said it was from my dog.I also got a picture of a 15 year old stain on the carpet (1 of 1000 stains) claiming it was dog pee.He tried to charge me for everything you can imagine in order to get additional money.I called VRBO customer service and he was suspended from renting this place out and they refunded my money.Seriously, I’ve never had to write a bad review, but, omg I hope you heed this warning.The pic was taken by Matt - claimed it was from my yorkie.Her hair is an inch long and blond.Matt is a KAREN - run away!

Perfect spot for me

This was the perfect spot to hang out with my family and friends, we could walk outside and straight onto the beach. The view from the bedroom and the living room every morning was perfect just the right size for me. I would definitely stay here again. I loved having an apartment for the week Instead of a small hotel room or a much larger house to take care of… It was vacation time for fun!! Would definitely stay here again hope it’s available next time I decide to come home for a visit!!

Warning

This rental is non-refundable from the moment you push the button. My credit card was charged the full amount within 5 minutes of pushing the button to reserve. My credit card company alerted me of the transaction. I was stunned at how fast the money was taken. Less than 24 hours later I discovered that I had a conflict with the date. It is non-refundable and no exceptions. Otherwise, the unit is modest and is as advertised....except for the ants.

Could Not Be Better

Great views, great location. And one of the most tastefully decorated rentals we've ever stayed at - summery and beachy without being kitschy. My wife's favorite rental ever on Hatteras.

Catch the sunrise from the deck looking right onto ocean! Better yet, walk there in just a few step! The location cannot be beat on this property.

The property was directly on the oceanfront and listening to the ways every morning and evening was outstanding! Matthew the owner of the property is on site and he was very pleasant and accommodating. We definitely will be returning!

Nice beach front condo

Great little property, hassle free. Shared washer/dryer. Very responsive owner who is on site. No complaints. Very reasonable rates, we even booked last minute. Would recommmend!

A calming respite

My husband and I needed a getaway and this was just the place!!!! We wanted peace and quiet with direct access to the water! The deck has nice chairs and tables: there is a round table with chairs for sitting and eating or even working or playing games. There is a higher to able with 2 tall chairs that are wonderful for just relaxing and gazing at the ocean! The kitchen had everything that we needed. There were local eateries but, this was in the midst of the COVID pandemic so we brought groceries and never left the property once we arrived. Matthew was a kind host. We met him at the very beginning when we arrived and ran into him when we were leaving. What a nice young man! We genuinely enjoyed our conversation with him. The only drawback was that the screen door to the patio was torn and I wished there was a screen on the sliding door from the bedroom to the outside because I would have loved to sleep with the door open to hear the ocean! We would definitely go back and highly recommend this property and this location!!!! It was just the break that we needed.

Great location

We loved Starlights 2, especially qccess to the ocean and the deck. The outdoor furniture was super comfortable and the deck above provided some shelter from the sun in the morning.

Perfect oceanfront location

Mathew made sure we had everything we needed for our vacation. The beach house is just steps from the ocean. The deck has very comfortable seating, perfect for morning coffee watching the sunrise and moonrise the evenings. The beach is a little narrow here, however, it is not crowded and you have plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful clear water. Absolutely perfect location to get away from it all. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing

The unit was clean and bright. The owner whom is very friendly lives on-sight and available for any assistance you may need. Waking up to the ocean every morning was just we needed and very relaxing.
