"Let me start with the positives: the hotel is conveniently located, close to the beach and a short walk from town. The lobby is beautifully decorated which gives it a nice first impression. Having said that, we had a very poor experience at this hotel for a few reasons. The rooms are tiny so don't expect much comfort or luxury. They ticked most boxes for a 4 star hotel by doing the absolute minimum: most amenities are there, but crammed into a space the size of a caravan. But the worst part was how noisy it is. There is no form of insulation, so you hear everything the neighboring guest say or do, even when they have the tv on. Unfortunately for us, in our case this went on until the early hours of the morning. When informing the staff of the hotel, they didn't really address it or what they did, had no effect. We pretty much had three nights there with little sleep. Also, cigarette smoke came into our room from the next balcony throughout the night. I would strongly recommend choosing a different hotel."

"Totally disappointing stay. For a 5-star resort, it was awful. The outside pool was not in use, so only indoor pool. The lift had broken so you had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs to get there. The lake view requested was disgusting. It was full of green algae and half empty. Loads of noisy kids running around for hours too. The lobby areas were really tatty as well. The room had no storage, no biscuits for the tea and coffee and the TV didn't have any streaming options. I expect this from a 1 star but this was not adequate for 5 star."

"Rooms were basic but very clean, and staff were very helpful. Especially Fernando, who checked us on and out of hotel, also dealt with any problems we had. We were bed only, so cannot comment on breakfast. Excellent location, able to walk to all bars and restaurants. Would have liked to have an area we could sit outside, as pool was closed on our visit. Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again."

"Very poor choice of menu for half board . Irish bar food of very basic standard. Inedible. Blue Terrace excellent - but a very restrictive menu for a 5 day stay. Rooms refurbished without an eye for detail . Some dated and unreliable plumbing. Water completely off one evening without warning. Drain smells . Poor bathroom lighting. Noise from room above etc Impressive public areas but lots of maintenance issues . Not a 5 or even a 4 star hotel ."
