"It is within the city walls, but not in the oldest part of the town. It is close to the train station. The main avenue with most of the good restaurants is about 200 meters away. The location near the train station is quieter than that main avenue."

Good location for day trips in the area
"Outside areas, terrace and small garden, had table and chairs and picnic table and were very nice. The charming village was very quiet except when the church bells tolled many times at 7:00 and 19:00. The kitchen lacked some cooking utensils (notably a spatula and cutting board) making it awkward ..."

It's MUCH easier to stay in Cabrerets than make the drive from Cahors in the morning. Pech Merle Grotto was awesome! Cave drawings were incredibly crisp. Museum was terrific.The tour is totally in French though. English tour book helped.
