"Met a friend here after I had been camping/cycling the C&O from DC. Shower was great as were the facilities. Not too many places for a decent meal in town but we made do with the gas station pizza! "
"This little place is a hidden gem. The new owner is a very nice person. She is getting the property back into shape but the rooms are great. Clean and quaint. I would stay here any time I’m through. The value is well worth it. "

"This property was exactly what my husband and I were looking for to enjoy a weekend getaway. In July, it was hot and humid, but we were still able to enjoy the relaxing living room, fun games provided, and cozy bed. The evenings cooled enough to even enjoy the hot tub. The house keeper left a great welcoming note and the house was spotless, even no evidence that they allow dogs. We did not take dogs but they provide a great basket for animal care. Highly recommend this property and we look forward to going back again. "
"The house was nice overall, especially with all the windows, although, they need blinds. Some cosmetic concerns did exist (ceilings falling apart). The 2 sky lights in the master definitely needed blinds on each as the room got very bright after 6 a.m. The pipes made a horrible noise while the showers (both upstairs and main floor). The doors squeaked, especially the screen door for the main entrance and the master bedroom doors. Most of the kitchen was stocked but there were some noticeable things missing, like a pizza or baking pan. The grass hasn't been cut in over a month at least, so the outdoor setting was not pleasant. The fire pit is slanted and not very useable. There were ants in the kitchen on the counter above the dish washer. I reached out to the host and the response was "there's a dollar store 4 mins away." Wrong. I'm on vacation, not there to deal with an ant problem. And the dollar store is 10 miles away, 15 mins. I killed a bunch but there was no spray or anything to control them. Kind of sad to get that response, which actually upset me. Overall, the house and yard need some work/repairs for a truly positive experience. The wildlife was nice to see and the house was a nice quiet place to relax."

"The house was very comfortable and welcoming. Loved that it was dog friendly, so our dog did not have to stay home. Tony was very kind and helpful with any questions we had, thank you so much! We really enjoyed our stay!!"
"Everything was wonderful as far as price, being clean, pretty, location, and communication with owner. Very bad service though, which meant no tv for us to unwind at night and no tvs in bedrooms. "

"This is the second time we stayed at this beautiful property, both times to get away from
pre-election jitters (we live in DC). It is the most perfect house to unwind and find peace. We loved that we could bring our dogs and children, cook together, paint on the amazing porch and enjoy the quiet and beauty of the area. The beds are SO comfy, the house has everything you need. The owners provide special touches like wine and chocolate on arrival. We grilled dinner on the working grill and watched shooting stars from the hot tub. Our favorite home by far. We will be back, hopefully before the next election. "
