"The inn is pretty charming. The rooms are a bit spartan but clean, and comfortable. The pousada appears to have been built in several stages, the newest part, where we stayed, being down the slope behind the lobby about 4 flights. Much, but not all of the inn is connected by 2 elevators, but there are 2 flights of narrow stone steps that have to be negotiated from the lobby to the breakfast room. Learning the layout of the inn took a bit of time, they could put some signs to make that easier. The staff was very helpful and carried our overpacked bags for us down to our lowest level rooms. The breakfast was very good, the breakfast room is lovely and has a nice patio with a view of the valley. If you are not traveling light, ask the staff to help with your bags."

"Location, Location, Location - is perfect - near the main square and centrally located to all the churches and historical sites. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing and very relaxed from check in, parking and breakfast service. Thank you all very much for making our stay in Ouro Preto a wonderful one!! Will definitely stay her again when visiting."

"Charming little hotel. Very clean, calm, and well maintained, with excellent hospitality. The on-site parking and shared spaces are great (my daughter especially enjoyed the piano). It’s about a 30-minute walk from the center, with some fairly steep climbs. Other than that, it’s a highly recommended little gem!"
