"Fantastic area right in the heart of the castle. However, tricky to get to as you need to park your car 10 minutes away and then navigate through the cobbled streets. The house is very quaint, but has damp issues so you can smell mould ( although it was winter, so maybe it is better in summer). Heating was a bit basic. Barthroom had a vague smell of sewerage- not really strong, but enough for me to question the high price of the accomodation. Needs to spend a lot more on plumbing and heating, or...

"We had a great time. Perfect location for day trips into Caldas da Rainha and Nazare. After buzzing about the area it was nice to return to a quiet spot overlooking the ocean. Good restaurants 5 minutes away."

"Marla has a wonderful house, we needed time to ourselves, we used the garden to relax in (thank goodness we had good weather) took in the sights when the crowds died down and lit the fire in the evenings. Perfect."
