The shower was also in need of a good scrubbing and hot water was intermittent at best. The hot tubs were NOT hot. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant bonus. "Here’s a polished review you can post: We had an amazing stay at Hotel Aguas Claras in Costa Rica. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect. The beach nearby was beautiful, peaceful, and great for relaxing. Everything about the experience felt special and authentic. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Caribbean side of Costa Rica!"

"A great hotel, nearby convenience store is very handy, the restaurant onsite serves really good food, being a solo traveler it was great that I didn’t need to leave the property. Beach is lovely and hotel has sunbeds and towels. Bike hire is $9 for the day, great to get around. Room was cleaned daily, my only disappointment was the curtains don’t cover the window…. I was in Tropical 10, I recommend ear plugs for the slight outside noise for this particular room but was fine once they were in. All round I had a great experience and would book again."
