"Very dated resort that clearly is not so popular any more. All f&b closes 8.30pm. no house keeping unless you explicitly ask. A lot of mosquitoes and no repellent. Pretty far away from everything worth visiting including restaurants. Better off staying in Lapu-Lapu."

"There seemed to be a pack of dogs in the area barking all through the night. One about 3 doors down from our room that appeared to belong to a staff or manager there. The walkway was gated with a sign to keep closed to keep the dog in, the stairs smell of dog urine and the steps were dirty. THe room we were given on check in did not look like the one pictured and had only one bed. We objected and were moved to the type of room pictured. "The whole ambience of the eco camp is just so chilled. The pool is amazing and clean and wonderfully refreshing in the heat. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, organising food for us to bbq and offering a moped for half an hour when we ran out of cash to go to the atm. If you have already done most of the tours in the island then there isn’t masses to do around Balilihan except the waterfalls and you need a scooter to get around. We didn’t have this so instead just enjoyed a lovely...

"This stay was lovely, with aircon in all rooms, and short drive to nice beaches. There are a few things however that the description lied about. The villa is a 15 minute drive to Alona beach, not a 10 minute walk. The only beach within walking distance is the docking area for boats, and is dirty in general. Also, they charge 300pesos per 12 hours of use for the washing machine, so keep in mind that it is not included. For the cost of the house however our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable....
