"our stay is very memorable! there was a fire alarm , we panicked and used the stairs, nothing happened which is a good thing! No fire! Front desk let us check in a bit earlier. which is good! The room was very spacious, bathroom is very clean. Breakfast was very good. No complaints! "

"We had a wonderful 2-night stay with our family at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hamilton – Upper James. The location is very convenient, with everything you need nearby—gas stations, grocery stores, fast food, and restaurants. It’s also very close to Limeridge Mall and only a short drive to downtown Hamilton. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The staff were courteous and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant. We also appreciated the quality of the linens and toiletries—small details that really added to our comfort. Overall, it was a great experience for our family. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Hamilton."

"Decent room, staff was friendly, and breakfast was decent, but OMG with the fire alarms in the middle of the night and throughout the morning. They said they are linked to the building attached and that is where the alarm was, but it was chaos and confusion due to a lack of communication and announcements from the staff. Not a great experience."

"The entire property has a strong pungent odour. Some areas it’s smoke, others it’s mildew/mold. Inside our room the smell would not go away despite spraying deodorizers. The shower handle came off in our hand so we didn’t attempt using it. Good price if you need to be downtown Hamilton. You get what you pay for. "
