"We stayed for 5 night, the property is in a lovely quiet area with street parking available, I would definitely recommend renting a car. The owner and his son were quick with communication and very helpful. The property is a lovely older building with plenty of character, clean and everything was in working order. There is wifi in the common area which works well and the view from the rooms is fantastic. "

"I have mixed feelings about our stay at Joao's place. We were a bit disappointed to find the state of the place; we emailed the landlord but he did not respond until Vrbo contacted him. Positive: - location: the view over the ocean is spectacular! - silence: it is a quiet area, only residential. aside from a couple of dogs once in a while, there is no outside noise - sleep quality: the (hard) mattresses worked a charm and we slept really well - good fun with the table tennis in the common...

"Le seul bon point du logement est l'emplacement très calme et la vue magnifique. Malheureusement cela ne compense pas le reste et il est difficile de profiter d'un séjour dans ces conditions. La chambre: le plafond est globalement bas et très bas dans la chambre, et il y a une très forte odeur d'humidité, il est impossible d'ouvrir les placards à cause de cela et nous avons du dormir la fenêtre ouverte toutes les nuits. La cuisine: l'évier et la gazinière sont placés sous le conduit de cheminée...

"Fantastic property that met and exceeded all our expectations. Spacious, stylish and very comfortable. Martin was very helpful, remotely giving us plenty of tips and advice on things to do, where to eat etc. Rosa was a phone call away locally to make sure our stay went smoothly. There was plenty to do locally especially if you wanted to experience the island's incredible nature. The local contemporary art museum - Casa das Mudas - was a brilliant discovery on a rainy day too. We look forward...

"We had an amazing 25th anniversary celebration in Madeira. We had never been before, but this property provided the necessary privacy while also providing a short drive to necessary amenities. The roads are steep and may be a bit of a challenge, but the unbridled beauty of the island is well worth it. I would definitely recommend and plan to stay again."

"Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Die Unterkunft liegt schön ruhig, die Anfahrt ist aufgrund von steilen und engen Straßen etwas abenteuerlich, aber machbar. Die Unterkunft selbst war - vermutlich wetterbedingt - etwas feucht und die „Heizung“ nur ein einziger mobiler, elektrischer Radiator. Die Kommunikation mit dem Verwalter war unkompliziert."

"Not often in life do you get to stay in a property of this quality in such a special location. The weather was almost perfect and we enjoyed two super weeks exploring Arco Da Calheta and Madeira. The pool and pool area at Casa Das Flores are amazing, we used the pool every day. The villa has everything you need come rain or shine. Access to walks and shops/bars from the door also a bonus. Our only critique was the noise from locals who appeared to be racing their cars at night near the property....
