This gem is an oasis for every nature lover - in addition to marvellous views, you will feel an incredible sense of peace and tranquillity. Your holiday home is not directly accessible by car, but can only be reached via an old cobbled path after about 180 steps. The landlord will be happy to help you transport your luggage. Then you can take your time out in this wonderfully secluded location. Just 8 years ago, the former residential buildings and stables on the terraced vineyards lay abandoned, dilapidated and overgrown with dense thorn bushes. Carefully and lovingly, trying to minimise the impact on or damage to the environment, an attempt was made to rebuild some of the ruins - free of anything superfluous and focussing on the essentials.
Now the interior and exterior areas exude a feel-good atmosphere and nothing and nobody can disturb you here. From the panoramic window, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the lighthouse in the extreme south-west of Madeira directly from the 2 x 2 metre double bed (two separate mattresses). A sliding door leads directly to a mooring. The holiday home was renovated in 2021 and a small toilet with shower facilities was installed. Another toilet and the bathroom are located one floor below, which is reached by external stairs, next to the kitchen and the outdoor kitchen with the barbecue area. The former cowshed can be used as a sleeping area for 1 or 2 more people (mattress 140 x 200 cm).
Your holiday home in the complex was a former stable, the cow was downstairs, the wine was pressed in the room next to it and the hayloft was above.
Massages can be booked on site and a yoga mat is available. The landlord will be happy to give you insider tips, provide you with information about the country and its people or help you plan your excursions. Perhaps book him for one of his individually guided hikes to the hidden beauties of Madeira under the motto: Simply let go and immerse yourself in the true Madeira with all your senses.
Freshly baked bread or fresh eggs from the chickens are available on request, and there are also many shrubs and trees with exotic fruits, spices and herbs as well as aloe vera plants on the property. As a guest, you can hire a Smart forfour from the landlord for the period in question; the transfer from/to the airport to the holiday property is included in the car hire. Of course, you can also book transfers only.
