"The deodorizer that was put in the room killed my sinuses which affected me the entire weekend. Oh sure what odor they were trying to kill but it was awful. The property looked very dated especially the grounds and door frames (looked that there had been some prior forced entrance in front door. "

"Looked better in the photos than it actually was. Staff was great and helpful, no issues there. The main complaint was usability of the room itself: Fridge had no freezer, lamp was broken, desk/lamp was very odd (a raisable desk), mirror in bathroom was strange as well. It's like they spent the money in the wrong areas, trying to be high-tech/gadgety for some reason. Remote for smart TV was not supplied, so we had to go to front desk to get it in order to watch Prime/Netflix. No microwave in room (surprising) - had to walk to common one in hallway. No coffee maker in room. Again, they could make a big leap forward by fixing some of these basic items."

"They charge $10 plus tax for parking with no guarantee that you will have a parking spot. We had to park on the street overnight when we returned from dinner but still had to pay the parking fee. We were assigned room 115 which is literally right off of the street. It is outside of all security gates to the property. The only thing separating us from everyone walking on the sidewalk is the door to our room. Not ideal for a restful night of sleep. Paid $250+ with Hotels.com advance reservation. Not worth it."

"Nice hotel with reasonable rates right off the boardwalk in north Pacific Beach. My only notable issues were that I was not told that housekeeping was on an "as-requested" basis. Fine by me, but that should have been mentioned during check-in. But what irked me more was that I requested a late check out, and was told by one person at the front desk that I would be given until noon before any additional charges applied (normal check-put is 11:00 a.m.). Mind you, I started the whole conversation by introducing myself with my full name and room number. Based on that, I then planned to depart no later than noon on my checkout day. At 11:30, while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up, I stopped by the front desk to let them know that I was still in the room, but planning on leaving within the next 30 minutes (again, introducing myself with my full name and room number). The front desk person working had no note of my "approved" noon checkout time or previous conversation. They made it sound like the late fee clock starts right at 11:31 a.m. and they were doing me a big favor by letting me stay until noon (I actually ended up leaving before that, which I was happy to do, since I no longer felt welcome). Other than those two minor issues, I would recommend that property, as along as you know what to expect. Anything that close to water shows wear and tear much more quickly than an inland property. For their prices, you have to cut them some slack on that front."
