"Very bizarre experience staying at this hostel.. no sign outside so difficult to find, also no reception/front desk so checking in was another challenge. The number provided is disconnected so I was unable to contact them, which was particularly frustrating when I got locked out after they didn’t bother to give me the door code to get back in. The dorm itself was fine, however the second night I stayed I was asked to move to a private room and share it with two other guests, including sharing a...

"The staff at the hotel were very helpful and made the stay very enjoyable and easy too. Jenny in reception gave us many ideas for sightseeing and Emily up in the restaurant was incredibly attentive and friendly with personable service. There was a good array to suit everyone's tastes in the breakfast buffet. After a full touring day, we ordered room service which was served hot and fresh, with a smile. After being hugely disappointed with a street massage, we took a chance on the hotels' service with Luan and colleague. Our faith was restored, and we left the comfortable surroundings feeling restored and rested. Thank you Luan! Although some parts of the hotel seem a little tired, (the common area carpets could do with an upgrade), overall we would recommend this hotel as a good midrange stay, in a convenient location."
"What an absolutely fantastic establishment!
From the moment you step in - in fact, the welcome starts even before you enter the hotel - to wonderful facility itself and the AMAZING staff, your stay here would be a very memorable one.
As soon as my taxi pulled up at the location, members of the staff came outside to greet me and help me with my luggage. This was followed by a refreshing welcome drink and fruit as you were being checked in by personnel at the front desk. Louisa, the team member who welcomed me, was so knowledgeable in her details of the hotel and the surroundings area, that I immediately wanted to start exploring.
Throughout my stay, the staff was always so attentive to my needs, charming in their approach, and friendly in our interactions. I never felt like a guest, but more like a member of a family. Every question was answered, every need met. I accidentally turned on the "do not disturb" button one day when I was going out to explore, and upon my arrival, realized my room was not cleaned. I called the front desk, and they immediately selt someone up - after 8pm at night!
The hotel has the most varied breakfast menu, boasting a range of western and vietnamese dishes. Everything was tasty and wonderfully presented (Vanforie was especially delightful and ever so helpful).
I can't say enough about this wonderful hotel and it's team, including Rose (a darling), Jason (fantastic mixologist) and the team manning the door (so professional).
Book it now!"
"The location is perfect for being right amongst the old town of Hanoi and close to the Hoan Kiem lake. The rooms were beautiful and the staff made our family of six feel so welcome. The travel and tour information was very helpful and we enjoyed our trip to Halong bay and Ninh Binh which the hotel arranged. Even when we arrived back and had hours to wait for our onward train journey we were given drinks, fruit and access to a bathroom for showers."
"I liked everything and Da was extremely helpful every day with information, recommendations, etc.... My only regret is not having a tip handy for him the day i left: he fully deserved it!"
"The entire staff were absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, honest, and hospitable throughout our entire stay. Our room was fantastic; clean, quiet, and spacious. The breakfast buffet every morning was fantastic, including options for a la carte meals. The selection varied a little from day-to-day but everything was tasty. The team was always super welcoming and positive. They will even offer to pack food to go for you if you have an excursion planned or an early flight at the airport. Laundry and spa services are also available. A bit more expensive than spots on the streets, but still a great bargain compared to home. We would definitely recommend staying here and when we return to Hanoi I would book here again. Grace was super sweet and always smiling and helpful. She knew our names by heart even though our stay was only 3 nights."
"This hotel is outstanding! It is close to all amenities and services. Above all the staff are amazing. They were so friendly, attentive and helpful with all of our needs. They genuinely want to make your stay amazing. They always had welcome tea ready or offered to help with our travels. They are truly in a class of their own."
Hostels are a great way to stay for a lower cost, so you can save more for sightseeing.
