We want to welcome you to the Wine Down Cottage by the Sea in beautiful Cambria, California. Our cozy cottage is ready and waiting for your arrival.

We have thought hard and long how best to comfort and accommodate our precious guest. We feel that we go above and beyond to make our cherished guests feel comfortable and relaxed while having an excellent time while at the cottage.

Peaceful and a great location

Close to downtown and very peaceful. Beautifully decorated and great amenities. Close to the beach and walking distance to incredible restaurants.

A great house in Cambria!

We loved our stay at the Wine Down Cottage in Cambria!Great house with a nice big yard for the kids to play in. A hot tub for evening relaxation. A very short drive, or longer walk down the hill into town, and a very lovely home perfect for our family of four. The hosts were also very helpful leading up to and during our stay, very responsive to any questions we had. We look forward to going back!

Great outdoor space in Cambria

We had a great finish to our family vacation here. The layout and rooms were comfortable and the entertaining are indoors and out was great for our group of 4. Would definitely stay again.

I will keep this very short. Awesome location for the area. Great communication with the owner at anytime before and during the stay. Really nice, comfy cottage. Perfect for two and would be very comfortable and just right for up to four people. Very dog friendly.

Such an amazing property. By far, this is our fav VRBO rental in Cambria. The location is perfect, it is close to all of Cambria's local attractions. Will definitely stay again.

Back again!

We came to Cambria for a quick couple days to be with family and lucky for us the home was available. The home is always clean, well stocked, and comfortable. I'm pretty sure we'll be back....again!

We would stay here again. Wonderful fam time , close to the beach and town of Cambria. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and fire pit. Secure parking… Everything was as pictured. Very comfortable stay.

Amazing home in Cambria

We loved this cottage in Cambria, it was extremely clean & the backyard grill & hot tub very were nice features. The best thing about it was the kitchen; which was the best provisioned I have ever seen in a VRBO. We enjoyed cooking & hanging out while also exploring the Cambria & San Simeon. The owner was easy to communicate with; all and all a wonderful stay.

Diane’s ‘ Wine down cottage’ is exactly as advertised & even better than the photos. Very quiet & comfortable. Jacuzzi was great, already heated & working when we arrived. Beds are very cozy. Modern upgrades throughout home. Perfect vacation getaway!

Winding down at Wine Down Cottage

We had a wonderful time in WDC, comfy, cozy and clean! It’s in an ideal location, 5 minutes drive from town. We felt completely safe. The yard is huge and my dog loved running and sniffing around. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to all our friends and family!

20th Anniversary

We have stayed at this beautiful home for our anniversaries for past 3 years and it is enjoyable always. The home is beautiful, comfortable , has a well stocked kitchen , wonderful back yard ,secret garden and in a quiet neighborhood but conveniently located to all amenities and sites.

Girls trip

This home is so great. It is clean, updated, very well stocked and close to everything Cambria has to offer. We felt like the owners had really thought of everything. The beds were comfortable (so important for travelers!). The yard was perfect for my friends’ dog. The owners were in touch and check in and out was so easy. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

The rental was comfortable and well appointed. The back patio was private and relaxing. We appreciated the fenced in yard area so our dog could explore safely. No problems with noise from the neighboring fire station. Would return anytime.

Great Little Get-A-Way

An amazing little place located in a great location within Cambria. Diane is a gracious host and checked in on us prior to our arrival. They provide great reference material, which made our visit to Cambria that much better. The furnishings within the house are up to date and would love for Diane to visit are residence and give us some decorating ideas.

Lovely

We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed the back yard . Very relaxing. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. In the evening we relaxed and watched TV. The beds we so comfy. The only thing we didn't care for was the firestation next door was fairly noisey, not all the time, but occasionally. Not enough that we would not stay there again.

A perfect little getaway

This house was exactly what I hoped for. It is clean and comfortable and close to both town and the beach. Diane was responsive when we had a questions and we had everything we needed. We really appreciated the jacuzzi and fire pit in the back. There are some minor things like a dresser drawer that needs fixing but nothing that would get in the way of a wonderful weekend. I would definitely stay there again,

Home Sweet Home

Out of all the VRBO & AirBNnB rentals we have stayed in this was by far the best!!! Super clean, wonderful decorator touches, plenty of supplies, fully equipped just like home! Our fur babies had a wonderful yard to explore and enjoy too!!! Close to restaurants and shopping but far enough to get out of the hustle/bustle! Owner very responsive and helpful. You can definitely tell they care about their home and want their guests to have a wonderful time….which we did!!! Looking forward to our next visit at The Wine Down Cottage!!!

Life is for family and so is Wind Down Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4th of July stay at this homey cottage. Our dog joined us and loved being outside with us around the firepit. All the amenities were 5* Hotel type and made us feel spoiled. Easy entry, fun cottage'y decor shows you luxury and charm. We played dominoes and cards, watched TV which includes all the fancy networks, and cooked in their well appointed kitchen. Great communication with owner with answers to any questions that come up. Perhaps our 1st Annual Family 4th of July Cambria Vacation. Thanks to all who help us enjoy this Wind Down Cottage!

Lovely house

We enjoyed our stay at this property as the house was very clean and very well stocked. I want to emphasize that it is stocked above and beyond! We found the location to be quite convenient: close to shops, restaurants, freeway, etc. yet it is a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to town by going down the hill with 200 steep steps. Great exercise, especially going up!The only negative for us was the queen mattress and the pillows in the master bedroom. They are very firm! And the mattress seems to slop to the edges. We did not have a good night sleep as a result. However, the guest in the other bedroom was happy with their bed. The yard is convenient arranged although our dog was confused about the lack of grass but it is on her, not the host lol The perimeter was very well secured to prevent any possibility of escaping. We really appreciate this detail. Thank you for hosting our family!

Beautiful property

Diane’s house was beautiful. Very clean, with modern contemporary decor. It still had a homely feel to it. Beds were very comfortable. Small welcome basket on arrival was a nice touch. Gardens were large and had nice seating areas. Rear garden was very private and had a great hot tub. Communication with the owner was easy before and during our stay. The lodge across the road was great for meals, drinks and live music in the evenings. The local town was an easy walk and was pretty and friendly. Great coastal walks and vistas nearby. Enjoyed an afternoon walking round the town of Moro bay which was a nice beach town. Would love to stay again in the future. Highly recommended.
