About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Sheep Creek Cabin B is a cozy cabin featuring amazing views and prime location.

Welcome to Sheep Creek Cabin B! This beautifully appointed cabin comes fully equipped to host your family on your next Montana adventure. Whether you want to fish the blue ribbon waters of The Madison River or explore the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park, our cabin's location will not disappoint you. It is conveniently located between Ennis and West Yellowstone near the intersection of highway 287 and highway 87. This 20 acre property is about 50 miles southeast of Ennis and 32 miles northwest of the entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

Sheep Creek Cabin B features a nicely appointed kitchen and dining area. We just installed brand new heat and ac units to keep the temperature perfect no matter the weather outside!! It also has a loft bedroom with two twin beds, another bedroom with a queen bed, and a pull out sleeper sofa in the living area. There are comfortable leather sofas and high speed streaming TV in the living room. There is a full bathroom on the main level as well. Laundry facility is attached to the cabin with a separate entrance off the front deck. Wireless high speed internet service and a phone line are also provided for use during your stay.

The views from this cabin and its two decks will take your breath away. Mountain ranges rise out of the sage brush flats in all directions creating a landscape that is sure to inspire you. Outside on the deck you will find chairs for relaxing and a BBQ grill and picnic table for those evening cookouts!

Wildlife abounds at times on the property as well as numerous places close by. Some of the creatures that can be seen from the cabin depending on the season are antelope, mule deer, bighorn sheep, coyotes, moose, rabbits, and bald eagles. If you take the scenic drive into West Yellowstone there are grizzly bears and wolves on display every day at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery center. Then grab lunch and milkshakes in town and head into Yellowstone National Park for a day of hiking, sight seeing, and photography. There are usually bison, moose, elk, deer, wolves, and more running wild around the 2,219,823 acre National Park. Yellowstone Park is also home to the 109 foot tall Yellowstone Falls, Old Faithful Geyser, and the numerous hot pots and hot springs.

In the nearby streams, rivers, and lakes you will find many species of trout awaiting the perfectly cast fly or lure. The Madison River located about a mile away, as the crow flies, is the #1 rated Blue Ribbon trout fishing river in the state. If you prefer fishing on lakes, or recreating with a boat, that's close by too. There are numerous lakes within a very short drive (less than 10 miles). These include: Quake Lake, Hebgen Lake, Henry's Lake, Conklin Lake, and Cliff and Wade Lakes.
There are several locations to rent boats, kayaks, canoes, and float tubes. Also near by are shops to buy fishing supplies, or sign up for guided fishing trips or horseback adventures!

Still looking for more to do? Take a drive to Virginia City. This is one of the neatest small towns in Montana. It has entertaining shows, great restaurants and bars. Or drive to Lewis and Clark Caverns and awe at the stalagmites and stalactites in a guided tour through the miles of underground caves and tunnels. Prefer to practice your swing? Ennis and Island Park, ID (20 minutes south) both have golf courses with spectacular views. Need another national park? Teton National Park is only two and a half hours away. Want to get your heart racing? Maybe go ziplining in Big Sky or white water rafting on the wild end of the Gallatin River.

When it comes to food there are two restaurants within 10 miles of the cabin and many more just a little further down the road. There are well stocked grocery stores in Ennis, Island Park, and West Yellowstone as well. If you're looking for an evening cocktail there are numerous watering holes just down the road that are sure to wet your whistle.

By now you know there's more than plenty to keep you entertained. If you would like help putting together your itinerary or have any questions about the area while you stay at our comfortable cabins please just ask. We are confident that you will enjoy your time spent at our cabins relaxing, or out touring the neighboring sights. We had a great time here! It had everything we needed, directions were perfect, nice BBQ, a couple of cool wildlife sightings from the dining room window, and it was ideal as a jumping off point to Old Faithful and the western side of Yellowstone. Highly recommended.

We loved the mountain cabin. The inside was cozy and had all of the amenities of home. The views of the mountains were stunning! Back deck was perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets. Saw pronghorn and mountain blue birds, also saw mule deer on the mountainside. Just over a half hour drive from the West Yellowstone entrance. Wish we didn’t have to leave!

It was a great central location for day trips to Yellowstone, Tetons, Idaho falls, Cody & more. Trail head 118 is just down the road. A long hike, but worth the view when you reach the mountain lake!

The cabin is perfect! It's a tiny bit challenging to find the first time but the directions provided are great. The beauty of the property/area is unparalleled. We had beautiful sunsets, sunrises. There are 2 different places to sit outside & the windows are big so the view can be enjoyed from inside as well. The kitchen is so incredibly well stocked! The plates/cooking things I expected, plus also spices and different cooking oils.

Charming well furnished cabin with amazing views, away from the hustle and bustle of Yellowstone, but convenient 30 min drive to the park. Great for wildlife and bird watching from the large picture windows. There are ground squirrels all around the property, nesting bluebirds and other birds, and we even had a herd of pronghorns visit. Clean, comfortable, and well stocked with all the comforts of home.

This was a very comfortable place to stay away from the crowds. Views from the cabin are spectacular. Very private setting with plenty of wildlife around. Pronghorn antelope grazed the property every morning. Truly a very peaceful setting. No surprises at the cabin. All appliances worked well including the wonderful AC units. Beds were comfortable. Was well stocked with paper products, etc. Altogether a very relaxing week in Yellowstone.

This cute little cabin was just what we needed! I can’t even begin to describe the gorgeous 360 views! Cabin is nestled on land with mountain ranges surrounding. The inside of the cabin is quaint and perfect for a couple or small group. Was equipped with what we needed, stove, microwave, refrigerator etc. there is also a laundry room which we didn’t discover until the last day, it’s located in a closet off the deck. Communication with owner was good. I definitely recommend the stay!

Where to start, the views are so fantastic! We saw pronghorn in the yard the last 2 days. Super awesome to watch! Perfect location away from the busy tourist cities but a quick drive from where you'd like to go. If wanting to switch up the scenery, McAllister Steakhouse is worth the trip! Chicks Bar in Alder has super great food and a super cool drive! The washer and dryer was wonderful having a 1-1/2 year old! 😊 Just book it and you won't be disappointed!

Loved the views and isolation of this property. Horses in pasture and coyotes chirping in the distance. The drive around the lakes to West Yellowstone is easy and beautiful. The cabin was as listed and quaintly intimate. A mouse is in the house as droppings could be found and his little scratching heard - but hey it's a cabin - to be expected. The stovetop is broken - only two burners on the left work. All this to say- why are you in the cabin? The views and access to walking trails, Yellowstone, fishing, all made for a pleasant stay.

A little hard to find since no internet signal but persevere and don’t go at dark and take screenshots of the place before you depart… We drive in and antelope everywhere Awesome views from every window Open windows and it gets cold at night Right next to Madison river 3 dollar bridge that was next to Kelly Gallups Slide Inn fly shop Our guide informed us of this Apparently Kelly is famous and wrote books on fly fishing and ties his world famous streamer flies which we didn’t know until after we went there but I’m pretty sure we were talking with Kelly when we went there… very cool dude! My boys liked this place the best Best Mountain View’s ever!

We really enjoyed the scenery around the house and being surrounded by the mountains. The chairs and picnic table outside on the deck was a nice addition. Unfortunately, there was a mouse in the house that we had to catch ourselves. There were mouse droppings on the bed in the loft and the pull-out couch making it unusable. Also, there was a terrible smell in the loft. These things were unfortunate as we felt like we paid a lot to stay in this place and especially for the cleaning fee.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin- lovely views, just remote enough to feel like a true retreat, but still within relatively easy driving distance of the park and stores, etc. We traveled with 4 adults and 1 11 month old baby. For anyone else looking to bring littles, one thing to note is that there is no bathtub, so we had to get a little creative, which we obviously knew going in. Although the single bathroom is right next to the bedroom, there is not much sound transfer (although the ceiling creaks when people are walking in the loft- nothing a sound machine won't fix). We brought a portable high chair and pack and play. What would be helpful would be a few sizes of ziplock bags and some more foil/food storage options - we thought of everything else, except that! We particularly loved sitting on the back deck in the mornings and evenings, and spotted antelope (with babies) and both mountain goat billies and nannies with babies, which was definitely a highlight. Bring your binoculars or spotting scope!

Although there are other cabins visual from a mile away, this cabin feels like solitude. In the morning and evening you will see pronghorn. The mountains surrounding it are beautiful. The cabin is clean and comfortable. There is a wood burning stove and air conditioning . There is one big room with a bedroom and bathroom off from it. Upstairs there are twin beds. The windows on main floor are picture windows allowing viewing from all sides ot the cabin. There is a front and back porch, with a gas grill. There is a tv and internet. Two beautiful lakes are nearby. IT is about thirty minutes into yellowstone park. We didn't mind the drive, in order to have the privacy the cabin provides. It is spotless, and has comfortable beds and chairs. It is a great get away choice.

Over all the property was as advertised. However there are a couple things that could be improved, to elevate this property to a five star rating. The front entry steps from the parking area have A major variance in riser Heights in are a trip hazard. One of the gentleman in my group is in his later 60s and fell on the steps two times Due to the drastic differences in heights of each of the steps. This would be a very simple and an Inexpensive fix to create three equal risers from the parking pad to the front porch. There is also a similar situation on the stairs to the loft which is very dangerous. I slept up there and almost fell down the steps. Additionally the Small kitchen is functional but it lacks mixing bowls, baking dishes, ice cube trays, etc… the adding of a few more kitchen essentials would improve the property! We did enjoy our stay and we’re given an early check in which was very MUCH appreciated!
