Every summer for the past 7 years close to our Anniversary, Lynn and I stay an extended weekend in the Placerville, California area located in the Sierra foothills. This year we stayed in the nearby Apple Hill. Apple Hill is renowned for its orchards, wineries, and farms. Although each farm has something different to offer, we enjoy the apple donuts and pies. Apple wines and beer are also available for tasting. This photo is on the farm we stayed this weekend. The farm grows Christmas Trees and has a wedding venue at this pond.

"The property has a great location for wine tasting. Excellent bedrooms and kitchen. Had an issue with a shower drain. Matthew, the host, responded quickly and we got the issue resolved. "

"The house was adorable and decorated with a farmhouse look. The pool was amazing, clean, with a large deck and plenty of patio furniture. The property had decorative lights and two optional bunk houses for overflow guests. It was a very nice property and appeared clean/tidy. "Beautiful setting, very close to lava cap winery. The house is definitely older, but I appreciated the midcentury architecture and features. Some things are funky (older windows/ window shades, some of the windows were broken), but has key upgrades like the kitchen appliances, thermostats, bathrooms. Very dusty/ stuffy when we arrived. The lower rating is for a specific issue. When we arrived, we realized the oven wasn't working. This interfered with our dinner plans for the night. We promptly...
