"Hotel location is central but extremely touristy"

"Overall this is a 5 star Hotel. The room was great and housekeeping was excellent, the breakfast staff and food choices at the buffet were good to accommodate anyone's taste and preferences, the coffee machine was down on our last day but the staff was quick to make our coffee of choice and bring it to our table. The staff was very good when I had question about the Metro service, which we took advantage of since the taxi fees can add up quick, it is a great way to get around and sometimes quicker than a taxi due to traffic. Easy once you figure out the entry and exit, and destinations to get around anywhere in Barcelona. The only shortcoming was at the check in when we arrived early due to coming in of a cruise ship, we had to wait until check in time which was 3PM, we arrived around 9AM. The lobby was full of people waiting on their room and no one was let in until it was time not one minute before, Being a little tired and not really being familiar with the area we just waited hoping they would call us in early, but it did not happen. Would highly recommend since it is very nice and close enough to all the areas of interest."

"Front desk staff is informative regarding the local activities available and how to get there. Breakfast availability needs to be adjusted to meet the needs of the early morning travelers who stay at the hotel or perhaps offer a voucher to a neighboring cafe for those early morning travelers. Thank you."
