Tucked among the trees just minutes from downtown Campton, Hillside Loft Cabin is our cozy hideaway made for couples craving a little peace and quiet! Sip your morning coffee on the covered porch, listen to the sounds of nature, and spend your evenings soaking in the hot tub beneath the stars. ✨
When adventure calls, Natural Bridge State Park and the famous Nada Tunnel are only about 20 minutes away. Secluded woodland vibes, small-town convenience, and plenty of time to reconnect await!

With a fully equipped kitchen, Direct TV, washer/dryer, charcoal grill, small firepit, and a peaceful wooded setting, Hillside Loft keeps things simple in all the right ways.

⚠️ Important Access Note: 4WD is REQUIRED to reach Hillside Loft. The mountain road is steep with ruts, potholes, and washed-out sections, so please review the road photos in the listing before booking.

• Kitchen + Amenities: Our kitchen includes an oven, microwave, standard drip coffee maker, cookware, dinnerware, and everyday cooking essentials. Coffee and coffee supplies are not provided.

Additional amenities include HVAC, Direct TV, washer/dryer, private hot tub, covered front porch with outdoor seating, charcoal grill, and a small firepit.

• Sleeping Arrangements:
- Upstairs Loft: California King Bed
The loft is the only sleeping area in the cabin and is accessed by stairs, which may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns.

• Bathroom:
- 1 Full Bathroom with shower/tub combination
Fresh linens and towels are provided.

• Outdoor Living: The covered front porch is one of our favorite places to unwind at Hillside Loft, with comfortable seating and a beautiful wooded view that makes morning coffee and quiet evenings feel a little better. The private hot tub gives you another place to relax after a day exploring the Gorge. A charcoal grill and small firepit are also available.

• Pet Policy: Hillside Loft Cabin is not pet-friendly due to owner allergies. Please do not bring pets to our cabin. Unauthorized pets may result in a $350 fee.

• Starter Essentials: We provide an Essential Starter Pack with 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 fresh sponge. Please note that these supplies are provided as a starter amount and are not replenished during your stay, so you may want to bring or purchase additional items for longer visits.

• Firewood + Grill: Firewood and charcoal are not provided. Firewood is available for purchase at most local gas stations, and we encourage purchasing it locally to help prevent the spread of invasive species and protect our beautiful wooded areas. Please plan to bring charcoal for the grill.

• Parking + Access:

Hillside Loft is located up a steep mountain road with significant ruts, potholes, and washed-out sections, followed by a steep uphill approach to the cabin. Current photos of the road are included in the listing, and we strongly encourage every guest to review those photos carefully before booking so you know exactly what to expect. We strongly recommend arriving before dark whenever possible so you can navigate the road and driveway in daylight.

This is not a road we recommend attempting in a 2WD or low-clearance vehicle. Weather can make conditions even more challenging, especially during heavy rain, snow, ice, or other inclement conditions.

Please also understand that parking elsewhere and walking to the cabin is not a practical backup option. There is no convenient place near the property to safely leave a vehicle and walk in, and the steep road makes carrying luggage to the cabin unrealistic.

Parking at the cabin is limited to 2 vehicles maximum. Additional vehicles will need to use the local park-and-ride and carpool to the area before proceeding to the cabin. Trailers are prohibited.

You will receive the exact property address, GPS-friendly directions, and check-in instructions via SMS 3 days prior to arrival. Please make sure the phone number on your reservation is valid and able to receive text messages. If you do not receive a confirmation text from us, please reach out so we can make sure you have everything you need before check-in!

• Location: Hillside Loft gives you a peaceful mountain setting while keeping Red River Gorge adventures within reach. Enjoy hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, scenic drives, local restaurants, and plenty more throughout the Red River Gorge area.
Natural Bridge State Resort Park is approximately:
- 11 miles / about 20 minutes via back roads
- 16 miles / about 20 minutes via the Mountain Parkway

• Traveling With a Larger Group? Hillside Loft is located on a private drive near several other cabins, making this area a great option for friends or family who want to stay close without sharing the same roof.
We also manage nearby Hidden Chalet, Whispering Winds, and Sunrise Cabin, giving larger groups the option to reserve multiple cabins in the same area when availability allows.

🍂 Seasonal Fall Note:
During fall, leaves are actively dropping throughout the Red River Gorge. Our porches, decks, and outdoor spaces are swept and prepared before arrival, but fresh leaves can accumulate quickly—even shortly after housekeeping has finished. A few leaves on outdoor surfaces are a normal part of staying in the woods during autumn and are not an indication that the property was not cleaned.

🌲 A Note About Nature:
One of the best parts of staying in the Red River Gorge is being surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains and all the natural beauty that comes with it, including pests and critters. Our cabins are professionally cleaned and routinely treated for pests, but because our home is located in the woods and mountains, you might sometimes notice a bug or other sign of nature during your stay. We work hard to keep our cabin clean, comfortable, and ready for your visit, but sometimes nature has other plans! If you notice anything excessive during your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us so we can help.

- Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year`s, Valentine`s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
