  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

We Loved Our Stay At Stillhouse!

Can't say enough good things about the cabin and our stay. It feels secluded and the views are amazing, yet there are neighbors nearby (but out of sight). It was very clean and well-maintained/updated as well and we will definitely be returning.

Perfect getaway cabin

Stayed at the cabin 3 days. It was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of hiking in the RRG. Great communication with the owner, quick response time. Would book again.

We love the Stillhouse.

Can't recommend this cabin enough. This was our second stay here and we had an amazing time. Brett is a great host and makes sure the place is always clean and fully stocked. We always bring everything we need, but we wouldn't be missing anything if we didn't.You just can't beat the sense of tranquility this cabin provides. The plot of land is beautiful, with no neighbors in sight, even though they are there.We love everything about this place and will definitely be back!

Quiet getaway

The cabin was very private and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the deer come to feed. This is a very rural area, so you will not find all of the typical chain stores or restaurants. Bring your own food and cook at the cabin. Eat on the deck and enjoy the quiet.

Off the beaten path

My son and I were visiting the Red River Gorge area. Was perfect for the two of us. Semi-rustic and quite. Felt very safe. Great place to relax post hike. My teen loved the “fancy” tv and Wi-Fi.

Great little hideaway

The cabin is so cute and very comfortable. We really love how there was no other house around and it is off the road. The owner Brett was very nice and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. And I really thought that the note they left us was a very nice gesture. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that is looking for a getaway you will really enjoy your stay I promise.

Quick Trip

We went down for the night to do the kayak trip. The cabin exceeded my expectations. The property was huge and very nice. We got wood for a fire from the tree line but it ended up raining. But we enjoyed that under the covered porch. It is a great place to unplug.

Our stay at the Stillhouse was phenomenal! Literally, the only complaint we could even come up with was the need for handles on the insides of the sliding doors for the bathroom and bedroom, but the doors were still fully functional and absolutely adorable. It was such a quiet, peaceful property and a short drive away from all our hiking at the gorge. Communication was on point, cleanliness was perfect, and the little welcome gift just made us both smile so much. We plan on trying to make this an annual stay!

Great hideaway cabin

It was a great cabin. It was just what we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We found everything to be satisfactory. My only suggestion would be to list the property as a one bedroom with a loft. If im not mistaken it’s labeled as a 2 bedroom. Aside from that i would recommend this place to anyone. I would to stay here again.

The cabin was just the cutest thing! We want to come back again and do a book retreat! The only only thing was there was no wood for the fire pit. We had to go buy wood. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. Very clean, new , and updated. Wonderful experience.

Get away before off off to University

The cabin was perfect. Nice secluded area and the appointment to detail was far and beyond. So cute and everything you needed was there. The decor was spot on. Our host called to let us know the cabin was ready and we could check in a little earlier which was awesome. He was accommodating to our request when we needed a bit more time leaving the next morning. We can't wait to return again. Thank you for making our stay "a very wonderful memory" :)

An honest review

The property was great. We spent a lot of time on the porch. Check in would have been delayed due to cleaning had we arrived on time, however, the first thing I did was vacuum the floors due to dead bugs in the main space and hall. The futon mattress wasn’t the best for sleeping but I made do. I recommend a mattress pad of some kind to make it more comfortable. I’m not sure why the listing has sleeping room for 8, the space would fit 6 comfortably if you sleep 2 per bed and 2 on the sectional. To sleep 8 you would need to bring your own air mattress to setup in the living room. Overall we had a great stay.

Cozy cabin

We enjoyed our stay surrounded by nature. We saw a few deer last night and the kids had a ball running around outside. They also liked going into the loft for some quiet time. The only thing we could’ve used maybe would’ve been grilling utensils. But we managed with the silicone tongs, until a couple of dogs took off with them in the middle of the night. Oops. All in all it was a good experience especially for the price. The cabin was decorated nicely and actually has a comfortable furniture compared to other places we’ve stayed. Brett was very accommodating and responsive. Thank you!

Beautiful place. Bring everything.

This is a breathtaking location, a wonderful little cabin, nice amenities. The birdsong was varied and beautiful. It was QUIET, which is exactly what we were looking for. Bring your own charcoal, and a way to light it. We forgot our lighter and had to drive to town to buy matches. Communication was really the only problem we had. We did not get a code to get in until the day we were to arrive--explained by alluding to overstaying guests. We didn't get a wifi code until we were there. Upon our discovery that we'd forgotten our lighter, we texted the host, and he said he'd bring some matches out later that day, which unfortunately didn't happen. The firepit had a couple pieces of new (very old) wood, and a bunch of ends left over from previous fires.
