They kindly upgraded us to a room with a balcony, which was fantastic! It was so lovely and luxurious and really made the stay perfect. Breakfast in Marie Brasserie was the highlight of my day - wonderful service overlooking the canal and an exceptional array of foods available at the buffet or for order. The hotel is small enough that the staff recognizes you and it really feels like a home away from home. Wonderful!! "

It’s easy to get around and perfect for a solo traveler who likes to wander with no set itinerary. The room itself was simple, clean, and cozy, but definitely on the smaller side (typical for Amsterdam). If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t it — but if you want somewhere safe, central, and convenient, it gets the job done. The staff was friendly and check-in was fast. A few things to know: the walls are a bit thin, so you may hear hallway noise. Also, the building is older, so expect Amsterdam charm, not modern upgrades. Overall, a solid budget-friendly stay in an excellent neighborhood. I’d stay again for the location alone. Great for solo travelers who want comfort, walkability, and a cozy home base between exploring. "

"We arrived early in the morning and check in wasn’t till 4, so they found a room for us to change to that we could check in at 10am which helped us out so much! The rooms were clean, so spacious, and the staff were extremely accommodating and kind. There are lifts for easy access everywhere, which is rare in Amsterdam! Amazing stay and wouldn’t choose any other hotel - will definitely be coming back to this one every time! Location is amazing too, only 10-15 minute walk to Dam Square."
