There was a little language barrier but using translator with them worked perfectly. We wanted to see the real parts of Spain, this was the adventure we wanted. "We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. When we told the staff, they showed up unannounced at 22:00 and just said it was safe to leave it unlocked, which didn't sit right with us. The inside felt cheap too. The kitchen had flimsy Ikea stuff that looked like it could fall apart any minute. The...

"La casita es una delicia y Barbara es una anfitriona excelente. Con su calurosa recepcion y atencion durante nuestra estancia, se aseguró que todo estuviera perfecto. El patio es una maravilla para relajarse para humanos y perrete. No olvidar que hay chimenea y spa.El barco (el pueblo) esta a unos 15 mins en coche. Desde casa del Abad se puede hacer rutas de senderismo, bici o visitar los alrededores (Jerte por ejemplo)"
