"Venafro is a special place! Close to Cassino, exceedingly tranquil and definitely not overrun by tourists. Dimora del Prete is a beautiful and well preserved palace with historical significance but with modern touches and amenities. During our stay we felt well taken care of with a yummy and elegantly set out breakfast. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and special. Our host, Angela, appeared out of nowhere with her perfect English and eagerness to assist us in just about everything from parking our car to finding a perfect gift for our son. The tour of the opulent palace that she gave us was an unexpected bonus and made us delve into 18-19th century Italian history. In sum, our stay was outstanding and we’re very glad that our Italian trip included Dimora del Prete and Venafro. "

I honestly can’t say enough good things about the service we received—everything was top-notch from beginning to end. The communication was excellent—quick, helpful responses from the moment we booked. Breakfast was a highlight—served upon request and beautifully presented, it felt more like being a guest in someone’s refined home than staying in a hotel and with Castello Monforte just steps from your door, you’re quite literally surrounded by history. Campobasso itself is a hidden gem. The local shopping and dining were charming, with an authenticity that’s hard to find in more tourist-heavy spots. The people of Campobasso are kind, welcoming, and clearly excited to share their city with visitors. "

"The one key for the room policy and the A/C works only if the key is slot. So when you leave to go to the beach. You take your key with you the a/c and power turns off. When you come back from a very hot day at the beach you come back to a hot room and it takes hours to it to cool up again. And to top it all off the a/c unit blows very low. "
