"Beautiful building and decor. Very historic, great breakfast. Very good service and nice staff. The only.minor issues would be that our room didnt have mixer taps on washbasin but i guess thats prt of the heirtage look. The mattress in my room caused me to constantly roll to the middle of bed so obviously worn unevenly so perhaps they need to flip the mattresses around every few month. Swimming pool.was good, just wished it had a sauna even if a small.one as pool was not busy. Overall an excellent stay, extremely good value for money. Would definitely recommend. "

"Really nice room - was concerned that the hotel is on the main road but the rooms are around the back ina separate and modernised block. Beds good, plumbing excellent and breakfast quick and good. All the staff cheerful and pleasant. Nothing not to like"

"A lovely modernized medieval building. Wonderfully helpful staff, great room facing the Beany museum. On the first floor is a lounge very reminiscent of a Tudorish sitting room, beamed ceilings and all."

"The best location right on the Cathedral property and two minute walk to city center. I would only request that the lodge send parking instructions to anyone that will park there. We drove around for 30 minutes before we found out way in. "

"We had a very friendly welcome from Paul at the bar who booked us in and gave us a discounted rate at the carpark opposite. All the bar staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had didnt have aircon, and the small fan provided was extremely noisy, maybe a point for management to consider. We were within easy walking distance of restaurants and the Marlowe Theatre. Breakfast next day was very good, with enough choice for all diets. Would definitely recommended and would stay again. "
