"1 3/4 bed, not double although enough space in bedroom for a king size, and I'm sorry to say, the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever experienced. Dead flies and spider webs around the property but otherwise fairly clean. Small TV. Impractical bath, no shower curtain, had to shower crouched in the bath to avoid water spilling over the bath. Bathroom door doesn't shut or gets stuck if managed to close. Muddy parking area. Beautiful property, nicely decorated and lovely area"

"We didn’t really use any of the hotel amenities. We were there only one night and just slept there. I didn’t realize though that there was no air conditioning and of course it was a heat wave happening and there was no elevator. The staff was very helpful with carrying our 4 pieces of luggage up some very step stairs to our room. We left at 4am, so we did not use the free breakfast."

"Not sure the huge price increase just to have a view of the Tower of London was worth it. No coffee/tea in room. Self check-in which was fast but I would have rather had someone greet me while I checked in. Just in case I had questions. Plus it makes it feel personalized. "Staff were very friendly and efficient. Hotel and my room always looked clean and inviting. Meals were tasty and well presented. If had to make a criticism it would be that there was no portable (temporary) air conditioning and the windows in my room (Charles 3rd) could not be opened. A large fan had thoughtfully been provided before my arrival but in the heatwave simply moved the hot air. Bar and restaurant staff were excellent and despite seeming to be switching between roles at times, there was never much of a wait. This was my first break in 2 1/2 years and was very relaxing. Would definitely visit again."
