"Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was perfectly clean and the whole atmosphere was so relaxing. Enjoyed sitting on the porch watching birds at the feeder with a nice view of the pond. The hot tub was amazing! I would highly recommended this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with such nice local trails to explore among other great attractions."

"The house was as listed on the site and what we've come to expect from past visits. Everything in the kitchen worked and was very clean. Some members of our group enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, and the fire pit at the bottom of the hill made for an enjoyable evening under the stars. We look forward to coming back to this house next year,Dan"

"We enjoyed our stay but things could have been a bit better when it comes to cleanliness and a few kitchen amenities (i.e. spoons, spices). The hot tub was dirty when opened and the jets kicked out a lot of residue/dirt. The area around the house, specifically the wooded area next to the house, seemed to have numerous pieces of garbage. The swimming pool was very nice and enjoyed by the whole family. It was close to various hiking trails."

"Wonderful lodge The authentic sauna with the wonderful aroma of wood is fantastic.It was such a bliss to be able to enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi right in the middle of the forest.Not to be forgotten, the indoor jacuzzi in the high-ceilinged space is also very pleasant.It felt so good to finally be able to soak leisurely in a bathtub for a change.There were plenty of towels provided, and the kitchen amenities are very well-equipped.The kids were hooked on the large selection of board games.It's very convenient and close to Hocking Hills.It's a pity we only stayed one night. We will definitely come back!"

"Diamond in the Rough is a great place - we enjoyed our weekend stay there very much. Plenty of room, and a great layout.There were several small "fix its" that I think could have been addressed before our arrival, including loose porch railings, broken kitchen cabinet and a non-working bathroom sink. Once we let the owner know about the sink, they immediately sent someone out to take a look and it got fixed the next morning, which was great.There is no door on the bathroom off the main bedroom, which creates a bit of a privacy issue - this could be easily addressed with a sliding door or curtain.The person sleeping downstairs reported that he could hear every step of people on the upper level. Perhaps more insulation, or rugs would be helpful?The outdoor space is fabulous - hot tub, patio with table and grill, and fire pit out back, and rocking chairs on the front porch. We spent the bulk of our time out there. Sadly, there was not enough recent water to be able to see the waterfall on the nearby cliff.Would definitely recommend!"

"The location—close to many of Hocking Hills’ most popular trails and sights, but tucked away at the end of a densely wooded side road—is ideal. The 3-level layout permits some separation for large family groups. The problem we encountered with the air conditioning system was quickly and efficiently resolved by the very responsive manager and courteous maintenance crew."
