"We booked our stay for my parents 50th Anniversary (5 couples). Monica & her husband are lovely people with a beautiful home! We absolutely loved our stay - the villa and the grounds felt like something out of a movie. Amazing views from all the bedroom windows, and a beautiful table to have dinner al fresco. The pool is very large & was lovely to cool off in. We loved the dogs and the sheep & goats. Monica made us an amazing dinner one night and it was delicious and so fresh! We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back "

"We had an amazing time at Isabella's beautiful house! We couldn't have wished for a better vacation and hope to stay longer the next time! Isabella was a truly helpful, kind and generous host and we are very thankful. We are a family of four with two kids (aged 7 and 4) and the property was ideal for our family. The fact that the garden was fenced in was also perfect, so we didn't have to worry about the kids wandering off. The kids loved sleeping in the bunk bed, everything was very clean and nice, and the kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The views of the surrounding mountains were breathtaking and the whole scene was very serene and beautiful, everything was calm and it is truly a place where you can relax. (Despite this, the town of Lucca was only 15 minutes away by car, so the location is just perfect). There are two designated dining places in the garden, which was perfect, we enjoyed all our meals outside. There are mosquito screens on all the windows, so you can leave them open through the night without worrying about the bugs coming in, which was nice. Plenty of bed linen and towels and a washing machine, which is always helpful when you're traveling with kids! We can't recommend Isabella's place enough and definitely hope to come back one day!"

"First, our hosts, Annibale and Cristina were lovely, and extremely helpful and communicative before booking and in the months leading up to our stay. Visiting for a wedding, upon arrival, they made appointments for our wives at a nearby hair salon! The one-floor villa is spacious, with two large, updated bathrooms, functional kitchen, tile floors, comfortable beds, lots of dresser and armoire space for clothes, and as advertised, is mostly handicap accessible (one step up). Oh, the air conditioning, something tough to find in Italy, is excellent! The grounds are large, attractive and well-kept, with grape arbors, a nice-sized, very clean pool and ample lounge chairs and seating areas. The off-road gravel parking area fits multiple cars, and is protected by a nifty remote-controlled gate with automatic lights. The villa is located in Marlia, a town mixed with homes, farms and commerce, only 12 minutes from Lucca's Porto Santa Maria. It is a great base for day trips to nearby towns and wineries. One nit-pick is the presence of high voltage power lines behind what is otherwise a beautiful yard."

"Home was exactly as described on VRBO. As an added bonus the view of the surrounding area was magnificent. The property was set up well for an extended stay. Only had 2 minor issues and the property owner had them taken care of in minutes."

"Our extended family of 22, including an infant and two toddlers, stayed in this beautiful, well appointed villa in the hills above Lucca during the Christmas holiday. The villa was perfect for multiple couples / families as there were clusters of rooms with a common area located throughout the two story villa which allowed for privacy. Every room had its own bathroom as well. The home and rooms were beautifully decorated. The views and grounds were spectacular. The host and owner were extremely responsive to our questions and needs throughout our stay. The lovely historic town of Lucca was a short drive away. There were markets, restaurants and wineries near the villa as well. The indoor pool and sauna were well used by our group. The host provided many recommendations including a cooking class by Tamara done at the villa — it was a great experience for the group! Also I highly recommend the wine tour and lunch at a nearby local organic winery and olive oil farm at Frattoria Colle Verde. I highly recommend this Villa."
