"I went here to stay while I was going to see Elton John in Lucca. When I arrived, I was given a personal tour of the grounds... pure Tuscan living! When I went to go to the pool, I found myself in the kitchen, and was introduced to other guests staying there and was offered a seat during lunch...pool was too inviting. What’s nice is that it feels like a home, guest gathered in a parlor or in the kitchen and sat around and talked... a lovely experience. Would stay here again. "

"A very challenging drive up to the property with many narrow switchbacks not easily negotiated by a 9 seater van. The view from the top is worth the effort. The lands and gardens are very well maintained with great outside lighting for nighttime arrivals. The house is 1923 standard Italian with steep stairs and has its quirks. For instance the fridge is in an alcove off the living room and has a pile of things, including shoes, on top of it. The freezer is in the shed outside with the dishwasher...

"A fabulous, family villa, spotlessly clean and great amenities. The garden is stunning, well manicured with beautiful views of the Tuscan hills. We had great fun in the pool, cleaned daily by the hosts. Plenty of sun loungers and great shady areas if you seek respite from the sun. "We had an amazing holiday at Hotel Hambros. The staff, the pool, the location, the breakfast and restaurant. Guido and Stefania at the front of house went above and beyond to help us and Susan by the pool was a ray of sunshine every day and couldn’t do enough for us. If we had any type of problem or question or concern everyone was quick to be of service to us and help us out. No problem was to big and we were made to feel so welcome.
