room ia clean and modern. Staff is excelent. Breakfast continental is disapointing: fruit was a single tangerine. noise from road only outside. in our room we have a wall glass opening to a internal patio, with 5 or 6 air conditioning. Noise did not disturb. However there is no blind or curtain in this very large window: light will invade the room at sunrise.

If you have a vehicle you will be ok otherwise I do not recommend. It is extremely difficult to get Uber to that location compared to if you’re staying in the city center. The property has two secured gates which you have to message the owner to open for you to leave the premises and re-enter which is very inconvenient. The complimentary wine however was a nice touch.

Lovely tranquil accommodation. Hosts most accommodating and arranged transport for a nearby event we were attending. Food also great. We had requested an evening meal, which was home cooked excellence.

The baths are great if you get a room with a bath. Eggs a little under done but a good portion for price. Was sad that the pool wasn't blue at the time. I enjoyed the tennis court, unfortunately the racquets and balls provided aren't good quality, but still glad it was provided. Close to town. Friendly cats on property. Beautiful scenery.

Average stay

Big grounds with tennis court, however, some disappointing experiences. The hot water was only switched on at 11pm on the first night. Was excited to take photos and swim in the pool as advertised but when we got there, it was as green as grass. I booked a room advertised in the description with a bath, but sadly there was no bath in our room. They first said it wasn't advertised that way but then they saw that they were in error. They accommodated us with a different room for 1 night saying that they were fully booked so could only use the other room for 1 night but to find out afterwards that they weren't fully booked was disappointing as it was then unnecessary to pack up after 1 night. Kitchen foods were either over cooked or under cooked. Overall it was enjoyable however some negatives that have stuck.

Slaley Country House

We had a wonderful stay at Slaley Country House. Our flight arrived late and we could only check in at 21:00, but that did not stop them from still providing excellent service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone travelling to and from Stellenbosch. Thank you Slaley for a wonderful stay.

Prachtige kamers in mooi guesthouse

Het guesthouse is erg mooi en de kamers zijn prachtig en ruim. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij dachten dat het restaurant en de wijnmakerij bij het guesthouse zaten maar dat is niet zo. De wijnmakerij en restaurant zitten op een andere locatie; wel dichtbij maar het restaurant gaat om 17.00 uur dicht. Je kunt er dus niet eten ‘s avonds en dat was jammer...

Personal touch with style and kindness

Lovely surprise. At times you do not know what to believe in reviews or photos, as I was with this place. Pleasantly surprised! The rooms are above the pool area separate entrance by night and open to lobby and dining area by day. Rooms are connected by a ‘boardwalk’ and with windows in the back with foliage! Shower was amazing with soaker tub in the 3 Pinotage room (advertises on hotels.com) Fantastic touch: makeup towelettes in jar! Breakfast was beautiful and fresh with a tasty cheese platter. In addition you had a cooked to order breakfast with fresh eggs and strip bacon if you choose. Italian coffee and machine Esme was full of energy and ready to offer whatever assistance needed. She made great suggestions for Delheim and Moraties as well as Asara for a great evening view! We truly appreciated her sincere honesty and kindness. We nearly rearranged our 3 day trip to go back back but it was just too much driving. Next time we will be stay and staying longer’
