"What an incredible place to stay. Capertee Valley is a secret spot that not many people know about. It's worth the extra drive out the back of the Blue Mountains - as the scenery is beautiful and it really is off grid. Beautiful hikes, friendly host and a cosy cabin with everything you need for a few days recouperation. The spa and food cooked on the firepit are highlights. The photos don't do it justice - you need to see it to see the beauty of the spot. "

"Historic hotel with 5 fireplaces, superb food, timber bar and just generally a nice family feel, Electric blankets are very warm, sheets crisp and towels very white. Simple breakfast included with nice balconies and north side garden. Went for a short 5 min walk and saw ten kangaroos, Took a great photo of the hotel from the front.but no way to share here. Hope the front balcony damagefrom the wayward car is fixed soon. Finally, we stayed at Royal Capertee on our way to visit the oil shale works and we’re not disappointed with the 2 hour tour."

"The Black Gold Motel is outstanding! It is clean, well-maintained, the staff are excellent, the service is great! And the best part is the on-site restaurant and bar. I thought it would be just pub food, but oh no, they have taken what could have been pub food and brought it up to a whole new level. The chilli prawn linguini, the calamari with spicy mustard cream, fresh mushroom soup, all magnificent! And the service is outstanding, well done to all their staff! This has to be one of the best places to stay over once you're west of the blue mountains. Highly recommend!"

"We were a family group of 4 adults, 2 teens and a dog and had a wonderful weekend. Annie’s place is amazing, it feels like a home away from home. Photos don’t do justice to the charm and character that greets you when you walk in the house. There are so many spaces to sit and read, play card or board games, share meal times or soak up the gorgeous views and the local wildlife. We had everything we needed for a most enjoyable, comfortable stay. Highly recommend."

"We had a rewlly lovely relaxing stay, the kids enjoyed every minute and our border collie had the time of his life running in the paddock! The farm fresh produce was a joy to cook with and everything you need to create delicious meals is at hand."

"We absolutely loved our stay here! We'd been looking to tick off a tiny house stay for the longest time & we definitely weren't disappointed! Not looking at our maps properly, it was a lot further from most of the Blue Mountain attractions we originally planned on visiting but we honestly didn't mind in the end as we really just wanted to get away from the city and ended up spending the whole time on the property. Kitchen worked great and we loved the eco-friendly aspect of the stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a farm stay/getaway from the city but strongly recommend those travelling for the Blue Mountains to factor in the drive to the main walks/attractions"
