The bathroom is a little challenging to maneuver in because the door opens in and sticks to the unlevel floor but it was not a big deal. The place was clean and conveniently located."

"Even though we only stayed one night, we felt it was memorable. The room was spacious and clean. The room was quiet and we never heard another guest. Breakfast was very good and a lot of food. The steep stairs down to the beach were worth it because the shells were plentiful. The porch out back was a great place to have morning coffee and watch the boats. The only requests I would make would be to put a magnifying mirror in the bathroom to make applying makeup easier and mount a full length mirror. We will definitely come back and stay our next trip to the Eastern Shore."

Bert was incredibly communicative and provided detailed information before and throughout our stay, making everything seamless from start to finish.The beach views were spectacular, and the home's thoughtful amenities truly made it feel like a home away from home.This may sound like an odd thing to mention, but after staying at other properties in Cape Charles, it really stood out—everything worked! The air conditioning, windows, doors, appliances, plumbing...everything was in excellent working order, which made our stay completely stress-free.We highly recommend the Purple Pelican for your next Cape Charles getaway. We would happily stay here again!"

"A tiny cottage… yes it was, but very nicely maintained, clean, comfortable and oh so Peaceful! So beautifully quiet at night. A bon fire each night when I was there. Welcoming for my dogs. The owner was so friendly… very nice …personable to speak with. I did enjoy my stay. Very relaxing. Minutes to downtown Cape Charles."
