"Truly enjoyed our visit with “toes on the sand”! Communication with the host was great. This home was clean and the beach/surf was beautiful. Family had fun body surfing. We enjoyed watching pelicans dive for fish in early mornings and even saw a couple of dolphins swim by. The gas fire pit made for a relaxing evening on the deck. "

"We stayed from 3/26 - 3/29 in rm 303. We normally stay at the other Best Western Plus in town but decided to try this one out. We were pretty disappointed with this location when it came to cleanliness, the plank flooring was very dirty, it's a light brown colored floor, so it seemed clean at first. IMO I think that house keepers skip mopping most of the time since the dirt isn't visible, the floor was extremely dirty, made my feet black. I used a wet piece of tissue paper and a disinfectant wipe and cleaned a section to see how dirty. The next morning I went to the office and expressed my concern, I showed who I assumed was a manager the dirty paper that I used on the floor and requested that housekeeping mop our room while we were out, we returned later, and honestly I'm not even sure if it was done, still dirty when I retested. The room needed painting in spots and baseboards were filthy and also needed painting. The coffee condiment tray wasn't clean. On Saturday, after not getting out on time to get our room cleaned on Friday, we made sure to get out earlier, as a matter of fact the housekeeper was right next door when we left our room, the cart was right outside our door, we returned during the afternoon and found that our room had not been cleaned. We ran out of hand soap and also towels. I have nothing bad to say about the employees that I had contact with,they were very nice and the breakfast was pretty good, they cooked omelets on Saturday and Sunday. "

We’re already discussing coming back over the summer and spring break 2027. It’s just a perfect property. Rita was a true dream to deal with, and we also had the pleasure to meet her while we were there, which was cool. Our expectations of everything were wildly exceeded. "Location is amazing. Used to live in Dana Point and dreamed of staying on Beach Road. These are properties that from the ocean and the beach. The view is incredible! It is upstairs, so one flight, not bad. There are train tracks near by but almost not noticed. Unit itself very nice and very livable. No A/C but do not need it. Great natural cool Pacific air and wave noise."
