"We enjoyed a wonderful fortnight's stay at this beautiful home in the hills outside the village of Monterchi. The house sits on a ridge with far reaching views across the surrounding valleys, particularly stunning from the swimming pool. The owners were kind and thoughtful and there to offer assistance whenever needed. Their recommendations were spot on, especially the gelateria at the end of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence!!! "Loved our time at Borghetto Calcinaia. We enjoyed the pool, views of the lake, the gardens, the nearby towns. Ben was very helpful and we were delighted to have food at the house when we arrived. The property had everything we needed and it's very comfortable. Can't wait to return!"

"Our host was very attentive and lovely. She invited us to a very nice evening wine party on-site aside of a small lake. It was quite charming. It was also nice to see the vineyards and olive trees. One downside was no A/C as advertised, but we had fans. Still very quaint."

"Partiamo dai punti più positivi. Proprietà disponibile e cordialissima Posto splendidamente isolato nella natura e molto particolare. Purtroppo la struttura ha i suoi anni e manca un'ammodernamento della stessa, molto ben tenuta, per carità e pulitissima, ma si vedono tutti gli oltre 25 anni di attività. "This place was not clean, it had dead moths on the bed linen and spiders and webs everywhere! We had to call to get the key and all they wanted to do was sell the wine! The wine was nice and the surroundings but that’s it! There was nobody around to discuss the dirty/dead insects issue and is in the middle of nowhere. It feels unsafe as the door wouldn’t lock from the inside either. If for some silly reason you still book….take food as there is nothing there to eat! Best thing to do...

"We were allowed to be guests of Simonetta and Pier Francesco for the second time and were again able to spend three wonderful weeks there. Everything was again well prepared for our stay, everything was clean, everything was lovingly furnished, we felt right at home. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful landscape with your family (and the dogs) and would like to get to know Tuscan life, you have come to the right place. 17th century farmhouse with private pool and Wi-Fi and air conditioning

10/10 Excellent

"There was 7 of us that stayed here at the end of June into July for 10 nights. This is better than the pictures show, the location was fantastic (you will ideally need a car to see Tuscany if not Arezzo train station has good links and is about 15 minute taxi journey away). The pool was a god send and better than we expected and is a really good size. The table tennis in the late afternoon shade provided good entertainment and house was fully equipped. Maurizio the host is an absolute gent, and was so helpful in helping us settle in and giving some great advice on places to go and places to eat. Would 100% recommend"
