"Room is wonderful. Maybe the best mattress is all of France! Great dinner in the Brasserie. The hotel is very tired and needs an update, but the room and restaurant are really great."

"We travelled 4 weeks through France. From Paris to St Tropez and back to Bordeaux and stayed at 8 hotels (all 5Star) This was our favourite by far. The personal touches, the amazing staff and the Chateau itself are all impeccable. Antony without prompting arranged our dinner and lunches as well as wine tasting locally. Nothing was too difficult and everyone from breakfast service to evening drink service couldn’t be more delightful. This will be our first stop on our next trip. "

"This hotel wasn’t what I expected. No front desk staff after 7. Room had one full bed and a loveseat type of sofa to sleep on. Had to ask for sheet for it-it was vinyl. Paid for 2 breakfasts and there was hardly anything being served-no eggs left and the rest of the food was scarce."

"Didn't actually get to stay. Arrived after check-in had closed so called the number shown on the notice to get the code to open the safe where we were told the key would be. Was told that I would receive an email instructing what I needed to do and to call back after I had agreed to their policy. Got the email only to find they wanted me to pay a large deposit online which, I was assured, would be refunded when I paid the bill at check out. Phoned back and pointed out that I had already paid so would not need to settle the bill on check out. Was told that this was the process and without paying the deposit, they wouldn't release the key. Ended up having to spend the night in the car."
