We were in the area visiting relatives and needed somewhere to stay the night which was reasonably priced, although it wasn't particularly cheap, it was convenient and clean, and the chap in reception was very friendly and went out of his way to make us feel at home, all in all, it worked out well, we would stay again if the occasion arose.

hidden gem

It was a great stay! I wasn't expecting much because of the price but the room was modern, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean but the shower wasn't great. The restaurant attached to the hotel wasn't the nicest decor but the staff were great and the food was delicious! I'd definitely stay there again if I was in the area. thanks!

Not a great stay

When we arrive at the room the room had not been cleaned, there was hair everywhere, the condition of the room, which I took pictures of, was poor and no plug for the bath, I told the staff about the room and they cleaned it and apologised but this should have happened

The bed was the only highlight

The bed was clean and comfy, all the furniture was dated, the bathroom was tiny, I had to wedge myself in between the sink and the wall to use the toilet (the sink was digging into my arm) the soundproofing was awful and the property needs a lot of updating, including frayed divan bases, all walls were scuffed and stained. There is parking (the listing says no parking), but the gym is a 5 minute drive away and is 'discounted' reception is not always open and the wifi was down, a discount in the resturant was offered instead. the outside areas are not at all appealing and the window looking out to it was tiny

Overnight stay

Had a wonderful stay here room was spacious and clean, bed was very comfortable. Gentleman at reception was very polite and helpful. Did not use restaurant or bar as we were late arriving however overall very nice stay will definitely return.

Very good.

Very good rooms, two big double beds in the twin rooms. Shower and bath in private bathroom. On site restaurant serving hot food. Perfect for people working away from home for work.

The hotel was nothing like the photos on the website. The room was clean and large with coffee making etc and clean towels, but the restaurant was non existent! The bar area was filthy and the actual restaurant closed. I was offered food to be delivered to my room in a take-away box, which was a reasonable standard for take-away, but not for hotel service! I tried to order breakfast for the following morning, but no one answered the phone. The receptionist when I arrived was pleasant and helpful but their appearance was not that of the usual receptionist (as shown in their website). My room was outside, up a flight of metal stairs-no offer of help with luggage. In fact, the whole place looked as though it was closing down!, especially the restaurant.

Not recommended

Nice friendly manager but the place itself was not very good at all. Opposite a very large electrical sub station (not shown in any of the photos) Room VERY tired and beds uncomfortable. Would not recommend and will not return.

Staff were excellent and helpful. Delivered a cooked breakfast to our room as restaurant not used for breakfast. Good sized room. Quiet. Only comment would be it looks a bit tired and could do with modernising the bathroom. Excellent value for money

Lovely Hotel - lovely people

Had a family party in the erea and needed somewhere to stay. What a lovely place. Clean, comfortable, brilluant value for money with all the essentials. The staff/owners were lovely and the breakfast was fab. Will definately stay again and would highly recommend.

Stayed for one night in a triple. Was happy with what was on offer for the price , no complaint at all. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and bottle of water in the room. Fresh beddings and towels. In fact will stay there if in the area again. Staff very helpful at reception.
